MARKET ST. VISUAL SURVEY

The Study• Our group was assigned the Market St. visual study. We observed

the flow of traffic both vehicular and pedestrian on Market Street.

The Edge

• This is the edge of the space we will all be designing for the concert venue. That space in front of the music building is very flat and level, perfect for designing a concert venue. The ramp leading to the bike path could also be converted into a parking lot entrance. (right)

Facing South

Sidewalk

The sidewalk in front of our edge is 72 feet. Each sidewalk section is 4 feet long.

Facing North

Facing North from the music building, there is a line of houses from the Lake Daniel neighborhood.

East and West

• These pictures are of the North and South views of Market St. looking down the hill and up the hill. Also, be aware that Market St. is a one way street. This could affect the design of the venue and its location on the right side of the street.
