The main one who is the leader of the entourage and who kills the bull is addressed as maestro and his formal title is matador de toros (killer of bulls) but the word "matador" by itself is not used in Spanish. The term torero encompasses all who fight the bull in the ring. Northridge is a very dedicated school that places the pride of their school on the matadors, taking down any completion in their way.

In 1965, it was decided to let the students choose the animal that would represent UCI. Students were to submit their candidates, and the favorites would be voted on in a campus-wide election. Many animals were considered, from the golden buffalos, to a unicorn. One day at a Water-polo match, the players passed out party favors. On the were the words,” Lets give ‘em the tongue!!” Thus, 56% of the school voted for the anteater, today named Peter the Anteater.

Social psychology students examine the way people behave in groups.

Classes cover such topics as: ◦ Social learning theory, group theory and

dynamics, sex roles, criminal behavior, and altruistic behavior (behavior based on concern for the well-being of others).

Major 1: Social Psychology

Picture your high school cafeteria for a moment. It’s not just one giant group of students hanging out together, is it? There are probably more than a few cliques.

Have you ever wondered how these cliques form? Or why some kids are more popular than others? Or why people act one way at home and a completely different way at school? If you want to explore questions like these, consider majoring in sociology.

Sociology majors learn ◦ How to study people and the roles they play in society, both as

individuals and in groups. ◦ Course work covers such topics as families, TV and other mass

media, and criminology.

Major 2: Sociology

When you think of life on earth, your first thoughts are probably about familiar animals, your pet dog or cat, the bird you see in the tree outside your window. But that is really only a small sample of all the types of life on our planet, which include plants, bacteria, fungi, and animals in a vast array of body forms and types.

Biology is the study of ◦ Life, individual organisms, their communities, and the

systems, cells, and processes that make up living matter. Students of biology undertake a general program in

which they study living organisms and the systems and processes that permit life. Courses include◦ Subjects like cell biology, evolutionary biology, marine

biology, and plant biology.

Major 3: Biology, General

All three colleges offer a lot of sports and majors for students, and also share similar campus’. Their main differences lie with what their requirements in courses are, or recommended.

I chose these 3 schools because they have majors in some of the areas I’m interested in.

I personally love all colleges, but the only downer would be how far they are from my home.

I believe that my opinion of these colleges has become more positive. I was worried it would be hard to understand the requirements, but it turns out I was nervous over nothing.
