Mario Barwuah Balotelli (birth name is Mario Barwuah) was born on12 August 1990. He is an Italian professional soccer player who plays as a striker for Serie A soccer club AC Milan and the Italian national soccer team. He started his professional soccer career at Lumezzane and played for the first team twice. But then he had an unsuccessful trial at FC Barcelona, and subsequently, in 2007, joined Serie A soccer club Internazionale. Since then he had a strained relationship with new manager José Mourinho and from January 2009, he was suspended from the first team after many disciplinary problems.

With doubts over his career at Inter, former coach Roberto Mancini (moved to Manchester City in 2009) decided to give Balotelli a fresh chance at this new club. Balotelli earned his first cap for the Italian national team on 10 August 2010 in a friendly match against the Côte d’Ivoire.
