Supporting with advanced technical capability We solve complex problems through our advanced structural analysis, using the latest finite element techniques. We also provide field and factory testing campaigns to verify components’ performance. Working closely with manufacturers of system products, this testing and development includes supervision of third party testing of operating equipment onsite, equipment specific testing, supervising new equipment qualification and factory acceptance testing.

Leading inspectionWood Group is a pioneer in asset inspection and life extension, utilising innovative 3D imaging technologies to streamline the inspection process. We have enhanced efficiency and safety by developing advanced techniques and systems such as: risk based inspection planning; laser scanning; external corrosion mapping; SRUT scanning; and repair design and specification.

Mooring systemsSupporting analysis, design and delivery management of floating systems around the world, our expertise covers the entire mooring system; tank farm, offshore pipelines, PLEMs, moorings and buoys.

From coupled tanker-buoy dynamic mooring response analyses, to dynamic pressure surge response; our team has the capabilities to analyse all operability and structural aspects of the system. This is based on decades of support to floating systems from single point moorings to designing moorings for one of the largest semi-submersibles ever built.
