(CWID) is a registered women NGO that works at the grassroots level.
The organization was established in the year 2005 and was first registered as a TRUST in 2006 and re – registered in the year 2010 as non government organization.

Marine Litter
What is Marine Litter? Marine litter is the collective term for
any man-made object present in the marine and coastal environment.
They consists of mostly very slowly degradable waste items — items made of persistent materials such as plastic, polystyrene, metals and glass — from a large number of different sources.

Marine litter are items that are either discarded directly, thrown or lost directly into the ocean or brought indirectly into the ocean by rivers, sewerage , storm, water or left by the people on the beaches and the shores
Where do we Get Marine Litter? Marine litter is found in the marine and
coastal environment
Marine litter is found floating on the water surface, Almost 90 per cent of floating marine debris is plastic.
Marine litter is found lying on the beaches and the shores

Marine litter is found on the seabed
both in the shallow coastal areas and in much deeper parts of the seas and the oceans
Marine litter can as well be found mixed on the water column
