50m safety boundary
Purpose of Safety Boats (basic requirements):
1. To provide the additional “eyes” for safety on the water where visibility is poorer from land.
2. To be used as a mobile communication system to relay information to the participants in the water
3. To provide a demarcated boundary for the dragon boats to paddle in4. To assist the movement of existing river cruises in the marina bay5. In an event of a capsize, the safety boat would provide assistance and
guidance for the participants in the water. 6. If need to, the safety boat will also be used to ferry participants who fell
overboard back to shore. 7. There will be a minimum of 6 boats in the water at any time during the
race
