5: 15 PM Dignitaries in Procession party gather in Principal’s Office (Room 124)

Note: all dignitaries to arrive in official regalia

Principal’s office will be locked during the ceremony

Members of the Procession Party are given a briefing by Louis Charpentier, Secretary of the

Governing Council, U of T.

Photographs of the Installation Party will also be taken prior to the ceremony

5:30 PM Guests arrive, receive programs from student ushers and are seated in Town Hall

5:55 PM Procession party proceeds to north entrance to Innis Town Hall main floor

& waits outside door for signal

5:30 PM [Audio-visual presentation plays on movie screen as guests take their seats]

(Presentation: a collage of Innis College images from 1984 in a continuous loop with music by Philip

Glass.)

5:58 PM [Audiovisual presentation stops upon signal.]

East doors close, North Doors Open]

[Gabriel Estrin, Donald Boere and Beverly Lewis take places on stage.]

Donald Boere:[upon North doors opening] “Ladies and Gentlemen, please rise for the entrance of the

Installation Procession and remain standing for the singing of the national anthem in both official

languages.”

6:00 PM [Eva Boldt to signal to David Graham to begin procession. Procession enters Town Hall led by David Graham

(the Bedel), proceeds down centre isle and takes designated seats on stage / Audience will rise when the procession enters

Town Hall.]

Opening Procession [Donald Boere and Beverly Lewis to play as the Installation Procession enters]

[David Graham (Bedel) to place mace on the table at stage right]
