D evotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a profoundly beautiful and most effective means of living always in the company of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It expresses our love for the One Who shows us the greatest possible love by offering His Body and Blood for us in the Eucharistic Sacrifice. Central to this devotion is the Enthronement of an image of the Sacred Heart in the home. The Enthronement, along with the Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, is a sign, an outward expression, of a deeply interior commitment to submit one’s entire life to Christ. The enthroned image of the Sacred Heart expresses Christ’s true Kingship over the family, and reminds us to follow in Christ’s royal way.
