Broil until cheese starts to melt, pull it out of the oven and you have a warm ham and cheese sandwich. Grab a cup of coffee or juice and you are good to go.
Now for those days when you want to indulge yourself or your loved ones, you can make a spinach quiche. This is a terrific dish since you can bake it on your day off and reheat it during the week for a fast nutritional meal.
For lunch, baking a pizza is easy and convenient or maybe some macaroni and cheese for the kids. Snacks are also a snap to make, and they satisfy those cravings in between meals.
By the time dinner rolls around, the possibilities are endless. Bake a lasagna dish for the entire family or chicken for two. Top it off with Roasted Peppers Once you’ve had home made roasted peppers done in your countertop oven, you
will never go back to roasted peppers out of a can. The aroma that fills your kitchen as the peppers start to roast will capture your senses and make your mouth water. Their sweet flavor will not only compliment any meal but will keep you coming back for more.
First things FirstPreheat your countertop oven to 375˚F. As the oven preheats, line the bake pan with
aluminum foil. Wash 3 bell peppers (yellow, orange and red) and leave the stems on. Space out the peppers on the bake pan and put the bake pan in the countertop oven.
The Cooking ProcessTurn the peppers by their stems every 20 minutes so that the peppers roast evenly on
all sides. Each time you turn the peppers, you will notice that their skin is wrinkled and blistered with some browned and puffy spots.
Smell their Sweet AromaAfter about an hour the roasted peppers should be evenly browned and blistered
while collapsing in on themselves a bit. Place the baking pan on a cooling rack and allow the peppers to cool down. Be patient and wait—for when the peppers are still hot the liquid inside is even hotter.
Strip them DownWhen the peppers have cooled in about 20 to 30 minutes, carefully peel them. On a
lipped cutting board, split the peppers in half and get rid of the liquid and seeds inside. Cut them into strips and place them in a small dish.
Dress it Up!You can serve the roasted peppers over crusty bread as an appetizer or top off your
favorite dish with them.
