88% of all MGP Boot Camp alumni have successfully found jobs at some of the country’s leading companies
In 2015, the Marcus Graham Project inaugurated a spin-off of our successful iCR8™ Summer Boot Camp and created a 3-week intense winter boot camp in partnership with Columbia College’s J-Term. The structure of the program is extremely similar to the summer long experience, however much more focused to one specific industry from a client perspective, and partnered directly with institutions of higher learning. In 2016 MGP hosted the Winter Boot Camp in Chicago and in Detroit.

MGP Workshops
The Cavaliers, in partnership with Hennessy, teamed up with the Marcus Graham Project (MGP) to host a weekend-long Sports Market ing Workshop for diverse professionals. The workshop was part of the Cavaliers 11th annual Black Heritage Celebration (BHC). A limited number of registered applicants were selected to participate in the free workshop. We will continue workshops in 2016 and beyond.
Workshop: $15,000 (includes travel, lodging, and registration)
THE GO FUND The purpose of the GO fund is to provide financial resource to applicants interested in attending traveling to the often cost prohibitive industry conferences, training seminars, networking functions and educational courses. Through the generosity of sponsors, members of our community, as well as our alumni are able annually attend 4A’s Transformation Conference, Advertising Week, Creative Week, South by Southwest Interactive (sxswi), and ADCOLOR. GO Fund Scholarship: $5,000 (includes travel, lodging, and registration)
THE SOUND BITE As part of the professional development and retention activities of the Marcus Graham Project Alumni Association, the purpose of the program is to continue to connect and engage our alumni with working professionals in the industry in a variety of “lunch & learn” style forums, semi-casual dinners and leadership retreats.
THE SHARP AWARD The Sharp Award is named after Advertising Legend and industry diversity pioneer, William “Bill” Sharp. His Basic Ad Course and lasting devotion to helping young African American students find careers in the advertising industry was the inspiration for the creation of the Marcus Graham Project. The Sharp Award, sponsored by JWT North America and JWT Atlanta, recognizes excellence in marketing, advertising and media by awarding one (1) future leader a $3,500 award.
REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE Experiential learning is the process of making meaning from direct experience. Our recruits will have the opportunity to work on actual client work, while building a robust portfolio and managed by experienced professionals. MENTORSHIP COMES FIRST Dedication to true talent cultivation through the program and afterwards UNAPOLOGETICALLY DIVERSE Will focus primarily on attracting talent of color, who are grossly underrepressented in our industry AFFORDABILITY & ACCESSIBILITY Will provide experience to talent through sponsorship, making it available to those who find other programs cost prohibitive
