This Month’s Spotlight Lacey Mawby

I have been attending FBC for 20 years! I remember my first day in Children’s Church walking, more accurately being dragged because I was so shy and scared, into the West Chapel for songs, stories and Bible Drills with Mrs. A. Growing up at FBC I have been involved in AWANA as a clubber and a leader, youth groups, small groups, women’s Bible study, and 2&3’s Teacher. The 2 & 3 year olds are a hilarious group and I love to hear them sing songs and share stories. It is a blessing to be able to teach the kids of the friends I once sat next to 20 years ago! The helpers I have now in the class were kids that I taught as 2 year olds and it’s amazing to see God’s faithfulness in their lives. I met my husband, Aaron, at FBC after moving back from college and we have been married for 3 ½ years and have two boys: Hunter (2 ½ ) and Logan (6 mo.) I am the daughter of Mark and Vicki Best and daughter-in-law of Lee and Linda Mawby.

Kathy Johnson is the Children’s Church leader for the month of March. The children in 1st through 6th grade are dismissed from the worship service before the sermon and will line up outside the entrance before walking over to the West Chapel. Parents can pick up their child after the worship service in the West Chapel.

The children will review the Bible lessons noted above from the life of Christ as well as participate in Bible Drills and group prayer.
