Help us with this trail clearing event at the Gales Creek Preserve at Camp Sam Hatcher. Please wear closed toed shoes, hat, long pants, and a long sleeved shirt. Meet at the Roadhouse at 0900; will return around 1300. Autocross (3/3 and 3/4). Assist with set-up, tear down, course operations, event monitoring (and you will get to ride with SCCA instructors). March 3 (0630-16) and/or March 4 (0630-1630). Friends of the New Bern Public Library (3/5 and 3/12). Assist with this great event at our local library!

o 5 March - Meet at the Roadhouse at 0700; will return around 1330. o 12 March – Meet at the Roadhouse at 0900; will return around 1330.

Carteret County Chamber of Commerce Family Day at the Beach Volunteering (3/9 and 3/10). Assist the Chamber with this great event in Atlantic Beach by helping out with games, bounce houses, and activities!

o 9 March - Meet at the Roadhouse at 1000; will return around 1500. o 10 March – Meet at the Roadhouse at 0800; will return around 1500.

Easter Seals Glow Run (3/10). Assist with this fun glow run in New Bern! Meet at the Roadhouse at 1530; will return around 2130. Camp Corral (3/11 and 3/31): Volunteer to help out our families with Fallen Heroes and Wounded Warriors. Food and beverages are included. POV only. Meet at the Morehead City Golden Corral at 0900; will be completed around 1330. Arthur Edwards 80’s Party Volunteering (3/16). Volunteer to assist Arthur Edwards during their 80’s Glow in the Dark Dance! Meet at the Roadhouse at 1445; will return at 2030. Attire is appropriate civilian attire, and you are welcome to wear 80’s theme if you’d like. New Bern High School Aquatic Robotics Competition (3/17). Assist with this one-of-kind volunteer opportunity! Assist the Robotics team from NBHS with their aquatic robotics race at the YMCA. You’ll be volunteering as judges, scorekeepers, timers, and time penalty enforcers. We’re looking for 21 volunteers. Meet at the Roadhouse at 0630; will return at 1430. Get Your Pink On (3/22). Assist with this fun, block party style event, supporting a cancer non-profit organization. Two shifts. Meet at the Roadhouse at 1300; return at 1730. And/or meet at the Roadhouse at 1800; return around 2100. Trivia Bee (Boys and Girls Club) (3/23). Assist the Boys and Girls Club with their Trivia Bee! Meet at the Roadhouse at 1700; will return around 2030. Tyron Palace Easter Egg Hunt Volunteering (3/24). Help the kiddos out with their Easter Egg Hunt, assist with crafts and activities, and more! Meet at the Roadhouse at 0830. Will return around 1530. Ft Macon Beach Clean-Up (3/24). Assist with cleaning up Ft. Macon Beach and Trails! Meet at the Roadhouse at 0800; will return around 1500. Please bring sunscreen, closed toed shoes, hat, bagged lunch, and water source. Croatan National Forest Volunteering (3/31)! Assist the Forestry Service with a variety of outdoor projects in support of the Croatan National Forest. Meet at the Roadhouse at 0800; will return around 1630. Please wear closed toed shoes/boots and weather appropriate civilian attire. Veteran’s Organic Garden Volunteering in New Bern (3/16, 3/24, and 3/30). We will be assisting the Veterans Employment Base Camp and Organic Gardens with a variety of construction and planting projects! Meet at the Roadhouse at 0800. Will return by 1230. Habitat for Humanity (3/6, 3/13, 3/20, and 3/27). Assist with Habitat’s newest build in New Bern. Meet at the Roadhouse at 0730; will return around 1330. Please bring bagged lunch and water source. Please wear closed toed shoes, and weather appropriate civilian attire. Animal Shelter (every Saturday): Volunteer at the Carteret County Animal Rescue. Assist with walking the dogs, meeting with potential adopters, special projects, and cleaning. Meet at the Roadhouse at 0700. Volunteer with a Veterans’ Retirement Community – Carteret House (every Monday): Bond with Veterans and swap stories at one of our local retirement communities. Attire is service uniform of the day please. Meet at the Roadhouse at 1700. Volunteer with Riverpoint Nursing Home (every Wednesday): Volunteer with our seniors! Attire is service uniform of the day please. Meet at the Roadhouse at 1700. Havelock Boys and Girls Club (M – F). POV only. Volunteer with our local Boys and Girls Club! Assist with mentoring, tutoring, homework, coaching, and activities! Please contact the Boys and Girls Club at 252-444-5437 for additional details. A one-time $10 background check is required. WWII Museum Restoration (on-going M—S; works around your schedule). Love cool history? Want to help save our WWII history?!! Learn how to restore some of the coolest artifacts and VEHICLES from WWII at the Newport WWII Museum. POV only; please contact Frank at [email protected] to set up a time to volunteer! Prelims kick-off at 2000; Main fight starts at 2200 at the Roadhouse! Autocross (3/3 and/or 3/4). Pre-registration required online at www.motorsportsreg.com by midnight 2/25. Authorized patrons can also register day of, with a $10 late fee. OPEN TO ALL (military, retired, dependents, DoD, and properly vetted civilians). Volunteer opportunities available. Active Duty/SCCA Members: $25/Saturday (novice school) plus active duty gets FREE registration for Sunday if they register for the novice school! SPECIAL TRIPS: SMP Beach Mountain Resort Trip (3/9 – 3/11. $150). Join SMP for 3 days/2nights at Beech Mountain Resort and surrounding areas! We will be staying in an awesome lodge in Banner Elk, complete with hot tub, game room, and a marvelous view of the Appalachian Mountains! Cost is $150 per person for lodging and transportation. MCI-EAST SMP Savannah St. Patrick’s Trip. (3/16 – 3/18. $145). Welcome to the LARGEST St Patrick’s celebration in the U.S.!! Enjoy 3 days and 2 nights of live music, friends, hundreds of activities, historic downtown Savannah and FUN! Cost of the trip is $145 which includes transportation and lodging. Please see our website for all details (times, registration deadline and instruction). Carolina Rebellion Concert and Camping Trip (5/3 – 5/7). Includes 4 days of camping, 3 full days of concerts, special VIP Campground Concert on Thursday night, and transportation!! Show line-up includes performances by Alice in Chains, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Muse, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet for My Valentine, Sevendust, Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Thrice, Halestorm, In This Moment, The Used, Billy Idol, and MANY MORE!!! Registration details will be on our SMP website. We're meeting at the Roadhouse at 1200 on Thursday (5/3) and will return on Monday morning (5/7) around 0300, depending on traffic. (Please note that we WILL be staying through the last show on Sunday, so make plans accordingly). Please also note that you will need to bring a tent, sleeping bag, and pillow (not provided). SMP and DEVIL DOG DARE (FREE!). SMP has received a number of spots for Devil Dog Dare, to include PAINTBALL. Two packages available! SPECIAL TRIPS: • SMP Beach Mountain Resort Trip (3/9 – 3/11. $150). Join SMP for 3 days/2nights at Beech Mountain Resort and surrounding areas! We will be staying in an awesome lodge in

Banner Elk, complete with hot tub, game room, and a marvelous view of the Appalachian Mountains! Cost is $150 per person for lodging and transportation. • MCI-EAST SMP Savannah St. Patrick’s Trip. (3/16 – 3/18. $145). Welcome to the LARGEST St Patrick’s celebration in the U.S.!! Enjoy 3 days and 2 nights of live music, friends,

hundreds of activities, historic downtown Savannah and FUN! Cost of the trip is $145 which includes transportation and lodging. Please see our website for all details (times, registration deadline and instruction).

• Carolina Rebellion Concert and Camping Trip (5/3 – 5/7). Includes 4 days of camping, 3 full days of concerts, special VIP Campground Concert on Thursday night, and transportation!! Show line-up includes performances by Alice in Chains, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Muse, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet for My Valentine, Sevendust, Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Thrice, Halestorm, In This Moment, The Used, Billy Idol, and MANY MORE!!! Registration details will be on our SMP website. We're meeting at the Roadhouse at 1200 on Thursday (5/3) and will return on Monday morning (5/7) around 0300, depending on traffic. (Please note that we WILL be staying through the last show on Sunday, so make plans accordingly). Please also note that you will need to bring a tent, sleeping bag, and pillow (not provided).

• SMP and DEVIL DOG DARE (FREE!). SMP has received a number of spots for Devil Dog Dare, to include PAINTBALL. Two packages available! Includes the activities, lunch, and drinks at NO CHARGE to the Command/Marine/Sailor. Please contact John at [email protected] to reserve your group! o The “Fun” Package consists of the Zipline, Drop Zone, and Paintball (includes gear and air with 300 paintballs. Lunch and beverages included!
