Happy St. Patrick’s Day

4. According to Irish legend, St. Patrick wasn’t originally called Patrick... his birth name was Maewyn Succat. 5. The world’s first recorded St. Patrick’s Day parade took place in Boston on March 18, 1737. Easter Egg Hunt Candy Needed Libby Bortz Assisted Living will be having it’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 am. We are asking for donations of wrapped candy ( no nuts please) for our Easter Egg Hunt. Please turn in the wrapped candy to the reception desk no later than Saturday, March 28th. Thank you for your help.

St. Patrick’s Day St. Patrick’s Day is the one day a year where everyone is a bit Irish. St Patrick was born in Roman Britain, where he is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland around 432 CE. Prior to that, the Irish people practiced a form of celtic polytheism. When St Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland, legend says he picked a shamrock to represent the Holy Trinity, as a regular one only has three leaves. Fun Facts about St. Patrick’s Day 1. According to recent census data, there are 39.6 million Americans who list their heritage as primarily Irish, compared to 6.3 million people in Ireland. 2. There are more Irish people in America than in Ireland. 3. On St. Patrick’s Day Americans are estimated to spend 5.9 billion dollars on alcohol.

Valentines Day Dance

We had a great turnout for our Annual Valentine’s Day Dance. Residents enjoyed dancing to the music of the Golden Tone’s, and enjoyed having their dance card filled by volunteers from the Littleton Rotary Club. A big thanks also goes out to the Family Dollar for donating large balloon bouquets to decorate our dining room. Delicious cupcakes and punch were enjoyed by all. Residents voted Marie and William Moore as this year’s annual King and Queen of the Valentine’s Day Dance.

March Employee of the Month Peyton Roubique We are pleased to recognize Peyton as the March Employee Of the Month. Peyton has been employed at Libby Bortz in the Laundry Department for 3 months now. Payton was born in Houston, Texas in 1996 and moved to Denver Colorado in 2018. He has 2 brothers, Brennon his younger brother and Lendon his older brother. While not working he enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting and video games. A St. Patty’s Day Expression May the road rise up to meet you!!!
