Dear parishioners and friends of St. Robert's, You can't change what people say about you. But, you can change how it affects you. Don't let them bring you down. GOD has always something special for you. GOD is the author of life and composer of hope. HE is all we need. Carry on!
Aligning with the Archbishop’s directive, we will continue to wear masks and socially distance inside the church, including lining up to receive Communion. Everyone’s health and safety is our top priority, especially with the Delta variant and the number of children and pregnant parishioners that attend mass in-person.

Sr. Sheral Marshall Sr. Sheral Marshall will be moving to Santa Maria this September and hence will not be working with us anymore. She is a great loss to our parish and we sincerely thank her for almost 20 years of fruitful service here at St. Robert’s. Read her message below:
Dear Parishioners, If you weren’t at Mass or didn’t watch it online, you missed my announcement. Josie Russo, whose home we were renting, died July 13th at the lovely age of 98 and her family needs to sell the house. Maureen, (another Franciscan with whom I live) and I have been talking about moving in a year or two, but the selling of the house moves that up considerably, actually to Sept. 13. We really don’t want to move a house full of items twice! So, we are going to move to somewhere near Santa Maria, where our Sisters founded a hospital 80 years ago (which is thriving) and we have an assisted living facility for our Sisters who need the care it provides. Maureen will soon turn 80 and I will turn 74, but neither of us is in need of those services, so we’re looking for a house in the area to rent. We both intend to volunteer in the hospital in some capacity. She has kept up her psychologist credits and I hope to brush up on my Spanish and help with translation if that’s needed. We have 30 clinics spread throughout the surrounding area with its fields of strawberries, broccoli and vineyards and the farmers and farmworkers who tend those crops. I will miss all of you terribly and am so grateful for all your support, involvement and enthusiasm these almost 20 years! I can’t imagine anyone looking for a ministry position in August, so I plan to divvy up my responsibilities among those who’ve been involved in them until someone can be hired. Be assured of our prayers for all of you; we will count on yours for us as well. Peace to you and all those you love, Sheral and Maureen
