Lord, I choose to rejoice in You today. No matter what circumstances may come my way, I choose to rejoice. I pray that I may bear this fruit of joy even in irritable situations, in hardships and in suffering. May I find joy in the center of Your perfect will, and not resist whatever changes You have ordained for me. Let this joy spring from the knowledge that You love me and that You have blessed me thoroughly. Amen.

Getting to know you…

WORLD ROTARACT WEEKis the is the week in which Mar 13 falls. It’s a time when Rotary Clubs and districts highlight Rotaract by joining in projects with their Rotaract Clubs.

ROTARACT CLUBS emphasize the importance of individual responsibility as the basis of personal success and community involvement. Each club is required to complete at least two major service projects each year, one to serve the community and the other to promote international understanding. Rotaract also provides opportunities leading to greater leadership and professional development. A Rotaract club can only exist when continuously sponsored, guided and counseled by a Rotary Club.

DISTRICT CONFERENCE March is also the month of our District Conference. The purpose of a district conference is for fellowship, inspirational speakers and discussion of matters that make one’s Rotary membership more meaningful. Every rotary district has a conference annually. These meetings are considered so important that the Rotary International President selects a knowledgeable Rotarian as his authorized representative to attend and address each conference. You are all invited to attend our District Conference on Mar 19-20,

Message by SVP Susan Ringol

Greetings to all!! First of all, let us thank PP Al and PP Wally who generously shared their treasures by donating USD100 each to the TRF Fund as sustaining members in support of “Every Rotarian, Every Year”. Thank you very much!!

For our implementation of our 2-Yr Scholarship Grant Project, we held two (2) activities as follows: 1.) Launching activity on February 17, 2010 in San Andres Bukid, Manila, in the community of our benefactors Mr & Mrs. Neumann. 2.) Awarding of Scholarship Certificates to the beneficiaries in Merville, Paranaque on February 20, 2010.

We will hold our next awarding of scholarship certificates on March 20 and March 27 respectively. Thereafter, we will hold our fellowship activity. Our tree planting activity was postponed due to the early onset of the warm weather which causes low survival rate of new seedlings. The Haribon Foundation suggested that we resume our tree planting activity by June 2010 when it is more likely that the seedlings will flourish.

Our District Conference is fast approaching and I am inviting everyone to join this district activity. It will be held on March 19 & 20 at Hotel Sofitel. Surely you will have a wonderful and inspiring experience in this district event. This early we are already preparing some presentations for the enjoyment of everyone.

Lastly, I would like to enjoin everyone to invite prospective members to help our club grow. I am sure you will find someone who have the same ideals and inclinations as our members, to serve and to enjoy Rotary. Again, my fellow Rotarians, let us continue to serve and be an inspiration to others, for the Future of Rotary is in our Hands!!

PROJECT HELPPP Sessie visited Ma Paring last February 15., 2010. This is our continuing project “HELP Legacy”- Home visit to the Elderly for Life and emPowerment Ma Paring was very happy to see her and got up from her bed for this picture.
