7:30 PM Easter Vigil

My dear Brothers and sisters, with the celebration of Palm Sunday, we begin our Holy Week. It is a very important time for the Church and for each one of us, where we will have the opportunity to commemorate the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. In this celebration we have the opportunity to remember and live that triumphant entrance of Jesus to Jerusalem, where all people gather to welcome him with palms and acclaimed him as King. The liturgical celebration of Palm Sunday begins with the blessing of the Palms that each member of the people will have for this celebration. The Palms that we use in this celebration are a nice symbol as it is joyful participation, not only of that crowd at that time that praise Jesus with palms, chants, and tunics by putting it on the floor. But we too need to do the same, so we can follow the example of the community at that time that welcome Jesus.

Now well today we also have to represent that community's does more than 2000 years he received Jesus as King, we have the commitment to accept Jesus as the King of Kings. May we not only carry the palms, but a life full of joy and happiness that we can tell that Jesus lives the King of Kings in my life, in our home and in our community.

Brothers and sisters, let’s walk with Jesus who is willing to die for each of us because he loves us so much.

RECUERDO SEMANAL
