NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION53(5)(a) OF THE PLANNING ACT

Section 53(5)(a) of the Planning Act requires Council to give at least 14 days notice before a decision is made with respect to an application(s) for consent to sever land. The manner in which this notice is given is prescribed by Ontario Regulation 197/96 as amended.

Everyone is welcome to attend our Annual General Meeting. The main purpose of this meeting will be to elect members to our Board of Directors. This would include 3 from the Algoma/Manitoulin riding. The business of the past year will also be reviewed.

Our Outreach Worker travels to those communities to meet with women who need emotional support as well as information about their rights and options. If you need to speak with the Outreach Worker when she is in your community, you can call the Centre at any time to set up an appointment. You do not need to be a resident of the Centre in order to use our services.
