What’s Your Name?
Do you liked to be called by your name? Of course you do. Most all want to
be called by their name. I’m sure some might say, “No, I do not like my name”
so I really don’t want to hear my named called. Some even change their name.
I understand that a little because when I was growing up people would add
fruit to my name (strawberry, blueberry, etc.) and call me things other than my
name. So I really didn’t like it back then.
However, as I have gotten older some still add to my name but I have realized
that all of our names are unique to us. They are important for they tell
something about us. They tell who we are.
I love the song – He Knows My Name, sung by the Accepella group The Zoe
Group. It reminds me of the fact, though others may or may not know me by
name or even who I am, Father God does!
Do you remember what the Lord said to the prophet Jeremiah in chapter 1:4-5,
“4 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: 5 “Before I formed
you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I
ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Further, His Holy Word reveals to us, God knows what we need (Mt. 6:8, 32),
the hairs on our heads are numbered and we are more valuable than sparrows
(Mt. 10:30; Lk. 12:7), and that He knows those who are His (2 Tim. 2:19).
So when we hear our name called remember, it is special because it allows
others to know something about us. Even more important than that is Father
God knows your name and many other things about you.
The question I have to answer is – Do I know Him? “10
Be still, and know that
I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
–Psalm 46:10. Barry Binion

ARE YOU WEALTHY?
A tax assessor came one day to a poor church
member to determine the amount of taxes he
would have to pay, “What property do you
possess?” he asked. “I am wealthy,” replied the
man. “List your possessions, please,” the tax man
instructed. “First, I have everlasting life (John
3:16). Second, I have a mansion in heaven (John
14:2). Third, I have a peace that passeth
understanding (Phil. 4:7). Fourth, I have a joy
unspeakable (1 Peter 1:8). Fifth, I have divine love
that never faileth (1 Cor. 13:8). Sixth, I have a
faithful, pious wife (Prov. 31:10). Seventh, I have
healthy, happy, obedient children (Ex. 20:12).
Eighth, I have true, loyal friends (Prov. 18:23).
Ninth, I have a crown of life (James 1:12). Tenth, I
have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who supplies all my
needs (Phil. 4:19). The tax assessor closed his
book and said, “Truly, you are a very rich man, but
your propert is not subject to taxation.” (copied)

Thoughts for “Spring Cleaning” your life.
DUST IF YOU MUST Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better To paint a picture or write a letter, Bake a cake or plant a seed, Ponder the difference between want and need? Dust if you must, but there’s not much time, With rivers to swim and mountains to climb, Music to hear and books to read, Friends to cherish and life to lead. Dust if you must, but the world’s out there, With the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair, A flutter of snow, a shower of rain, This day will not come around again. Dust if you must, but bear in mind, Old age will come and it’s not kind. And when you go-and go you must- You, yourself, will make more dust. (copied)
