INTRODUCTION:

Talked about incidence & prevalence of tuberculosis and theme of world

TB day-UNITE TO END

SYMPTOMS: fever-evening rise in temperature,cough with sputum

often blood stained,night sweats,loss of weight, loss of appetite

PATHOGENESIS & MODES OF TRANSMISSION:modes of

transmission-air born spread while coughing,sneezing,spitting,etc..

DIAGNOSIS & TREATMENT:DOTS therapy & preventi

ANEMIA AND ITS MANAGEMENT:

Incidence of anemia in women

CAUSES:hookworm infestation,gastritis,chronic bleeding,inadequate

diet,etc.

SYMPTOMS:fatigue,weakness,skin

pallor,palpitations,dizziness,numbness in extremities,etc.

MANAGEMENT:Dietary advice and Medical management on anemia

given.

CERVICAL AND BREAST CANCER AWARENESS:

Incidence of cervical and breast cancer in India.

CAUSES OF CERVICAL CANCER:HPV infection,,early sexual

intercourse,low immunity,elder age group,multipara,previous family

history,etc.

SYMPTOMS:White discharge,intermenstrual bleeding,bleeding during

coitus,severe abdominal pain,bleeding after menopause

DIAGNOSIS:Early detection using pap smear test and its procedure

were explained.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS :

SYMPTOMS: breast lump,discharge from nipple,ulcer etc

Breast self examination and information about mammogram were given

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE AND OTHER MENSTRUAL

PROBLEMS :

Talked about menstrual problems faced by women like

leucorrhea,menorrhagia,intermenstrual bleeding and its management.

Menstrual hygiene:regular washing of genitals.frequent changing of

sanitary napkins-every 4-6 hrs
