The Effective Building Designs with Concrete Masonry presentation will explain recent changes to ASTM C-90, and how these changes will affect the cost effectiveness of new unit masonry assemblies. ACI-WNY will be hosting a Meet and Greet, on Saturday, March 15th, 2014, at the Buffalo Iron Works Grill, followed by a Buffalo Bandits game at the Arena. We welcome anyone with ties to our Industry to come downtown for our meet and greet. Good food, drinks, followed by a great game. Please come join us at our 2014 ACI-WNY Meet and Greet!!!! Our 2014 meeting schedule begins with a luncheon meeting on March 19th, at Bohn’s Restaurant in Bata-via, NY. Mr. Nicholas Carparelli, Executive Director of the NYS Concrete Masonry Association will be giv-ing his presentation titled “Effective Building Designs with Concrete Masonry”. This presentation is reg-istered with AIACES for 1 Health Safety Wellness Credit. Seating is limited, and pre-registration is required by March 15, 2014. I hope to see everyone there! Also scheduled this month is another round of ACI Certification Testing. Further information and details can be found on page 4 of this newsletter. Just another reminder that ACI-WNY is currently accepting submissions for the 2013 Awards Banquet scheduled for May 2, 2014! Please get your project submissions in early! This event depends solely on the participation and support of our Members! Please support our Industry. See you next month!
