Tobacco Plains Journal, 100 years ago

Eureka Journal, March 30,1911

There are fewer bachelors in Tobacco Valley than any place of the same acreage on earth. There’s just one or two left for seed. And there are more rosey cheeked girls, and rugged, rollicking boys than in any country on earth. For many years this valley did not crowd the birth rate very fiercely, but now, like the big sawmill, they are working a day and night shift and turning out a lot of mighty fine material that makes a state and nation great. Let the good work go on.
