COMMITMENT WEEKEND FOLLOW-UP A special “Thank You” to those families who have already made their pledge. We realize this it is a big commitment, but it is such a worthy one! If you were unable to make your pledge last week, we ask that you do so now, either with the pledge card you received in the mail, or the special envelope in the pews, and please place it in to-
day’s collection basket. The Ushers are available with extra pledge envelopes and pencils if needed. Please print and be as legible as possible, and fill out your address so that you will get proper credit. It is not necessary to enclose a check at this time. Just fill out the amount you want to pledge and a friendly reminder will be mailed from the Appeal’s office each month. If you are not prepared to make your commitment today, please take the envelope home and bring it next weekend or send it to the Parish Center Office. For this appeal to be a success, we will need as close to 100% parish participation in order to attain our assigned goal of $91,500. Every donation, whether it be a one-time gift or a pledge spread over 5 months, is important. Please be as generous as possible. Thank you.
In addition to the regular weekend confessions, the priests in Deanery #7 (east of the 405 freeway) have offered to hear confessions in their parishes on the weekdays of Lent.

TIPS TO HELP PROTECT CHILDREN FROM SEXTING
Before buying your child a cell phone, set rules for its use, including what sort of information and images are appropriate to share via text. Know what safeguards
are available on your child’s phone, such as turning off and/or blocking texting and picture features. Talk to your
child about the possible social, academic, and legal consequences of sexting. They could face humiliation, lose educational opportunities, and get in trouble with the law. Encourage your child to not be a bystander or
an instigator. If he or she receives a “sext,” discuss why it is important that he or she not forward the image to
anyone else. Remind your child that they can talk to you if they receive a nude picture on their cell phone. Report any nude or semi-nude images that your
child receives to law enforcement or contact www.cybertipline.com.

PASSIONATE FAITH TO COMPASSIONATE ACTION Lenten Reflections by Fr. Antony Raju
March 23, 24, & 25 from 7 to 8 pm in the Church
Lent is a time of profound grace which brings forth the real transformation in our lives. It is a season of renewal, repentance and reconciliation.
In the Gospels we find the unique quality of Jesus that expresses His special interest towards the Samaritans. There are three Samaritans in the gospels who stand prominent during His encounter with them in His public ministry. They are:
the Samaritan Woman at the Well (John 4: 4-42), the Samaritan Leper (Luke 17:11-19), and the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). Each of these encounters with Jesus, offers a plethora of insights into our journey of Faith.
You are invited to come and increase your spiritual strength by reflecting on “Passionate Faith to Compassionate Action,” in light of the attitudes of these three Samaritans. These reflections will help to identify and to remove the obstacles in our
lives so we may discover our true selves in order to live a “life in abundance” (John 10:10), as Jesus promised.
2015 PLEDGE UPDATE
The monthly pledge billings for the Together in Mission pledges have been mailed. It is very important that these pledges be paid, so that our Parish will reach and,
hopefully, exceed our goal. Once the pledge payments have exceeded our goal, we receive all of the additional funds for use in our Parish Ministries. Please remember
that if we do not meet our assigned goal, the parish is responsible for paying the deficit.
Our Parish’s
Assigned Goal: $91,500.00
Amount Pledged: $46,180.00
Amount Paid: $21,690.00
Remaining Balance: $69,810.70
