SAFeTYThere’s something undeniably cool about skateboard-ing. It’s a way of life. But as all riders know, skateboard-ing is inherently dangerous, particularly if you skate without proper training, in unsafe situations, or without wearing protective safety gear. So keep it safe while skateboarding, stick to the rules wherever you skate, and follow these safety tips.

Helmet While riding, wear a helmet that is specifically meant for skateboarding, as opposed to biking or some oth-er activity. Make sure your helmet has a strong strap and buckle, with the strap securely fastened and snug any time you ride.

Pads and wrist guardsWhile riding, wear knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards. These should have a hard plastic shield and should not hinder your movements. Make sure any pads or guards you wear are snug without constricting your circulation.

Other GearWhile riding, wear hip pads, skateboard gloves, and padded jackets and shorts for added protection.

1 Remote Fundamentals

Your Marbel Board has four Riding Modes. Your Marbel Board comes pre-shipped in Starter Mode so that you can get acquainted with the functions and settings associated with the motor and the Remote. Before you adjust the Riding Mode from Starter Mode or skate in public, you must properly train in Starter Mode in a safe location. Once complete, you can change the Starting Mode through the Marbel App under the Riding Mode section. Note that the Riding Mode you select will affect the Marbel Board range.

8 Find Your Footing

The typical skateboarding stance for those who are right-hand dominant is with the left foot forward on the board. However, those who are left-hand dominant typically ride with the right foot forward, in a stance skateboarders call “goofy foot.” There is no “correct” stance, rather it comes down to personal preference.

7 Some Things To Avoid

Important: FOR YOUR SAFETY, please read the warnings provided at the beginning of this product manual. For future reference and updates please visit www.ridemarbel.com. You are Marbel. Please ride responsibly.

Water Storms Grates Poor Visibility

VS.

Page 14: Marbel Manual

- Keep your weight on your feet.

- Stand up straight.

- Spread your legs.

- Bend your elbows and hold your arms perpendicular to the ground.

- Lower your center of gravity by bending your legs.

9 Riding Stance

At times, skateboarding bears a striking resemblance to surfing. Both share what’s known as a “side-stance.” Below are some things to keep in mind:

Important: FOR YOUR SAFETY, please read the warnings provided at the beginning of this product manual. For future reference and updates please visit www.ridemarbel.com. You are Marbel. Please ride responsibly.

Always make sure to move the Thumb Slider in small increments while starting and braking. When you accelerate it is best to lean forward and when braking, it is best to lean back. In addition, keeping a wide stance and a low center of gravity helps to improve your balance and overall riding experience.

10 Starting To Move

In order to become acquainted with your new Marbel Board, we recommend you learn in Starter Mode. This can be changed at any time to accommodate for increased skill level and comfort.

Important: FOR YOUR SAFETY, please read the warnings provided at the beginning of this product manual. For future reference and updates please visit www.ridemarbel.com. You are Marbel. Please ride responsibly.

11 Charging Up

Board charge time = 90 minutes. Remote charge time = 4 hours.Only use supplied cords when charging your Marbel products and accessories.

12 Shape the Future

Always ride responsibly. Have fun, but be safe and respect your surroundings. As Marbel riders we get to shape the future of smart electric transportation. Lets pave the way to a better, more sustainable world!

MAINTENANCE

Page 16: Marbel Manual

MAINTENANCECLEANING

To clean your Marbel Board simply wipe it down with a damp cloth. Never use any solvents, soap, or wa-ter to clean your Marbel Board, as each could cause your board short circuit.

TRUCK ADJUSTMENTS You can make the skateboard trucks so tight that they don’t move at all or so loose that the board is unsta-ble and hard to stand on. This is based on personal preference and skating style. Tighten or loosen the nut a quarter to half rotation at a time. Ride and adjust accordingly.

BELT CHANGEWe have replacement belts available for purchase with detailed install instructions. If you experience your belt slipping on the gears or have a broken gear, contact us at [email protected].

WHEEL CHANGEYou can change your wheels with a simple skate tool or socket wrench. If you have any questions on choosing a wheel size and/or color, please contact us at [email protected]. We can help in choos-ing the best wheel size for your riding experience.
