Coastal Path near Lands End

National Cycle NetworkThe nearest National Cycle Network route to this site is Bristol to Lands End, route number 3, First and Last Trail.

TruroCornwall’s only city, famous for it’s Gothic Cathedral which is surrounded by pretty lanes and boutiques. With weekly food market and a thriving cafe culture, there is plenty to do.

St IvesAs well as being voted one of Europe’s top 10 beaches, St Ives is a haven for artists with plenty of galleries to visit and a pretty working harbour to explore.

WalkLocal routesThe coastal path is a short drive away and there are a number of pleasant walks from the site.

Porthminster Beach in St Ives is a must, the beach is sheltered and excellent for both adults and children.

Cycle to Penzance on the flat off-road path.

Mousehole is a lovely little village to visit and walk round.

There’s a great dog-friendly beach at Long Rock between Marazion and Penzance and an even better one to the right of the harbour in St Ives.

A fish & chip van visits site twice a week, serving delicious, freshly-cooked food.

Visitor’s top tips

Visit the Geevor Tin Mine, the largest preserved mine site in the country and the key centre within the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site.

There is an abundance of fantastic National Trust sites to visit in the area.

The Cornish Seal Sanctuary was such a lovely day out, it rescues and rehabilitates seal pups from the coast, and permanently houses marine animals that require special care.

We loved dining at the Crown Inn, located in the centre of the village. The Fire Engine pub is also lovely.
