Vision & PurposeMarana  Academies  -‐  Discover  your  place.  Decide  your  plan.

We  care  about  our  students  by  providing  smaller  learning  communities  as  a  safe  place  to  connect,  explore  and  plan  for  their  lives  beyond  high  school.

Each  student  will  interact  with  various  career-‐=ield  and  professional  organizations  in  order  to  have  a  direction  and  plan  for  the  future.

The  Marana  Academy  Partnership  (MAP)  initiative  seeks  to  establish  relationships  with  local  employers  to  build  stronger  connections  between  school  and  work,  providing  students  with  a  range  of  career  development  and  work-‐based  learning  opportunities.  MAP  also  works  establish  partnerships  with  community  organizations,  parents,  and  higher  education  institutions  in  Marana  and  Pima  County.

Experiences  in  the  workplace  and  with  employers  allow  students  to  experience  real  work  and  see  beyond  the  classroom.  Students  who  are  given  opportunities  to  work  in  teams  on  real  projects  begin  to  understand  the  importance  of  professionalism,  reliability,  teamwork,  and  clear  oral  communication  skills.  They  also  see  how  their  education  is  related  to  a  career  =ield.  Frequently,  after  being  exposed  to  the  realities  of  the  workplace

and  careers,  students  will  press  harder  in  their  studies  and  set  higher  goals  for  college.
