As a recognized Campus Chapter, (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________) declares that it has completed the following: Secured recognition as a student group of (EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION __________________________) in compliance with university’s policies and procedures Secured at least one faculty sponsor Secured a student leadership team of at least three students currently enrolled at (EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION __________________________), one of whom is a non-senior at the date of the Chapter’s recognition Reviewed the MapStory Community Ethics and Terms of Service at wiki.mapstory.org  Additionally, (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________) declares its intention to fulll the following commitments, at a minimum, in order to maintain its status as a recognized Campus Chapter: Adhere to MapStory’s Community Ethics and Terms of Service Produce new StoryLayers and MapStories for the MapStory global community. Maintain a current Point of Contact for the MapStory Foundation at all times Follow the law of the land. Follow the policies and procedures of your home university In return, the MapStory Foundation commits to conferring, at a minimum, the following benets upon (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________): Feature (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________) on mapstory.org as a recognized Campus Chapter Offer (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________) a free rate mapstory.org/______ Organization Page to feature all StoryLayers and MapStories Provide organization and content advising on occasion Provide access to grant, internships and other opportunities when available Priority registration and reduced cost for MapStorytelling webinars and conferences when available.  The MoA is understood to endure for three years after the signature data, at which point it must be reviewed and resigned.  The MapStory Foundation, a 501c3 non-prot educational organization based in the United States, and

(STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________), a student organization recognized by (EDUCATIONAL

INSTITUTION __________________________), enter into this Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on (DATE

 The purpose of this MoA is to recognize (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________) as a CampusChapter within the MapStory Foundation’s global network. As a recognized Campus Chapter, (STUDENT 

ORGANIZATION _____________________) declares that it has completed the following:

• Secured recognition as a student group of (EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION __________________________)

in compliance with university’s policies and procedures

• Secured at least one faculty sponsor

• Secured a student leadership team of at least three students currently enrolled at (EDUCATIONAL

INSTITUTION __________________________), one of whom is a non-senior at the date of the Chapter’s

recognition

• Reviewed the MapStory Community Ethics and Terms of Service at wiki.mapstory.org

 Additionally, (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________) declares its intention to fulll the followingcommitments, at a minimum, in order to maintain its status as a recognized Campus Chapter:

• Adhere to MapStory’s Community Ethics and Terms of Service

If at any time the MapStory Foundation considers (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________) to be

out of compliance with this agreement, or otherwise unt for recognition as a Campus Chapter, it reserves the

ability to revoke its chapter status and resolve any other forms of partnership and/or recognition.

Similarly, (STUDENT ORGANIZATION _____________________) retains the ability to end its status as a

Campus Chapter at any time. The MapStory Foundation requests at least two weeks notice of any decision to

close a Chapter in written form by the current Point of Contact and one other participant or faculty sponsor.

Signatories to this MOA understand that “MapStory” is a trademark of The MapStory Foundation, and the

Campus Chapter’s use of the term must comply with the MapStory trademark’s terms of use as outlined at

wiki.mapstory.org/Trademark_Terms_of_Use.

 The MapStory Foundation retains no legal responsibility for any actions taken by (STUDENT ORGANIZATION

_____________________) and its members. All parties recognize that this MoA is not accompanied by the

force of law and serves only to support a mutual agreement made by the parties listed below of their own free

will and accord.
