Tips for Child Welfare• List perpetrator patterns on paper• Focus on actions and statements• Make efforts to understand behaviors associated

with terms like “temper issue”, “jealous”• Ask “How does he let you know?” and “What does he do or say?”

children about the limits of confidentiality and plans to protect the information

• Ask survivors to help assess the impact of CW involvement will have on her and the children’s safety

• Make sure the information from the adult survivor and children is handled appropriately to ensure safety
