TECHNICAL NOTE

Mapping a setpoint output to the digital output in the HI 4050 unit.

NOTE: Unit must have the DIO option installed for this to operate.

1. User goes online with the HI 4050 unit and goes to the Mapping page as shown below.

2. Open the Destination drop down list “Control” and highlight the digital card output you

wish to use. We selected output 1.

3. Once you click on the selection you want, it will show the “Select” button to the right of

the drop down list. Click on the “Select” button.

4. Next you would open the Source drop down list for “Control” and highlight the setpoint

output you are mapping.

5. Click on the setpoint output you choose and the “Select” button shows up to the right of

the drop down list.

6. Click on the “Select” button. Once you have selected both the destination and the

source for the equation, you would see the equation terms in the map box.

7. Click on the “Map” button to accept the equation. This will add the equation to the list

of mapping equations as shown below.
