Product descriptionMapInfo Pro v15.2 introduces an innovative grid format called Multi-Resolution Raster (MRR). This format provides incredibly fast processing, visualisation and analysis of high resolution grid data, even when working at a global scale.

MapInfo Pro Advanced takes full advantage of this new format and provides a powerful set of grid analysis capabilities. Through its integration within our Location Intelligence Suite, the resulting analysis can be shared across the organisation via map visualisation powered by Spectrum® Spatial or OEM partner technology using MapInfo Pro Advanced.

Product updates• Improvements to the Layout

Designer reduce the time to create and improve the quality of cartographic map output.This results in improved productivity and communication of map-based information and insights.

• The introduction of Smart Indexing significantly improves the performance of common Table and Object operations such as Update Column and Combine Object, resulting in improved productivity.

• New support for touch screen tablets including multi-touch gestures such as Two Finger Panning and Pinch to Zoom (In and Out) while working the Map Window, 3D Map, Prism Map and Layout Designer Window map. This results in improved usability and the capability to drive efficiency savings via enabling mobile working.

• Significant improvements to data access including support for Unicode, TAB files larger than 2GB and GeoPackage. These result in improved data access and exchange including further support for mobile working via GeoPackage.

• Enhanced integration with the Pitney Bowes Location Intelligence Suite and the Spectrum Enterprise Geocoding Module (EGM) enables MapInfo Pro v15.2 to act as a productive and localised desktop client for enterprise global geocoding.

• Spectrum® Spatial Enterprise Geocoding users can now leverage MapInfo Pro’s extensive map visualisation capability and productive user interface. This enhanced level of integration with MapInfo Pro also enables developers and (OEM) partners to embed global geocoding into their applications and solutions.
