Always well wound Winding design detailsItisnotwithoutreasonthatSGBtrans-formersfulfilthehighestrequirementsofreliabilityandlonglife.Thewindingprocessiscarriedoutusingmachinesespeciallyconstructedforthis,whichensureshighqualityandpreciseresults.

• Thewindingprocessiscarriedoutbyqualifiedpersonnelonthelatestwindingmachines.

• Theselectionofthetypeofwindingandconductorismade,takingthedimen-sioningcurrentsand thedimensioningtensionintoaccount,togetherwiththerequiredtestlevelaswellastheexpected thermalandmechanicalstress.

• Duringtheoptimisationoftheconductorcross-sections,theinfluenceoftheconductorsizeonthe amountoftheadditionallossesisequallyconsidered,asaretherequirementsontheshort-circuit proofing.

• Thestabilisationoftheaxialwindingdimensionsisachievedthroughpre-drying,thenestablishing thedefinedwindinglengthsduringapplicationoftheintendedgrippingforceandthethorough, symmetricaldesignofthewindings.Atthesametime,possiblenecessarymeasuresof compensationmustbeincludedinthecalculationtoavoidunsymmetricalforces.

• Thedispersedarrangementofthepress-boardbarriersandoilextensionspermitamodern isolationconstructionbetweenthewindings.

• Inordertooptimallyusethewindingspace,thewindingprinciplesandtheconductortypesare carefullyselectedforeachindividualcase.

• Thestabilisationoftheaxialwindingdimensionsisachievedthroughpredrying.Therequirementsof thedielectricstrengthandtheshortcircuitproofing,aretakenintoaccountequallyasmuchasthe thermalrequirements.
