Open the packing box carefully, confirm the items should be as follows:

1). 1pcs PoE switch

2). 1pcs AC power cable

3). 1pcs user manual

4). 2pcs hangers, screws with nuts (4pcs screw on 4/8 port PoE switch, 6pcs on 16 ports )

5). 4pcs Mats

5�.Installation platform:

No matter it is installed in the rack or other horizontal workbench, please pay attention to the below:

Confirm the rack or workbench with good stability;

Confirm the good cooling system of the rack, or keep the good ventilation indoor;

Confirm the rack with good grounding, keep the distance between the switch and power outlet less than 1.5 meter.

4�.Demand for Lightning Protection

It will cause the fatal damage to the electronic device by the split-second powerful current when the lightning occurs. To achieve the better effect of lightning protection, please pay attention to the below:

Confirm the rack with good grounding;

Confirm the power outlet with good grounding;

Reasonable wiring to avoid lightning internal induction;

Recommend usage of signal lightning arrester when wiring outdoor

1). Instruction for front hangers

Please use the front hangers to fix the switch when install the switch to the cabinet or above the cabinet. The appearance of the front hangers are as shown in illustration 2-1

3). Install the switch to the cabinet

Please guarantee there are about 50mm space between the cabinets for the device to radiate when installing the switch to the cabinet. Please use the standard hangersto install the switch to the cabinet, the process is as follows.

Step 1: Take out the screws (matched hangers), install the hangers to the switch, as shown in illustration 3-1

2). Introduction for Mats

A set contains 4pcs mats, as shown in illustration 2-2. Please install 4pcs mats to the bottom of the switch before install the switch on the platform.

Step 2: Planning the position of the switch installation in the cabinet and install the floating nuts to the settled position of the front hole of the cabinet

5.Connection of the hardware

1).Connect one end of the cable to the switch and the other end to the corresponding device, as shown as illustration 5-1

Please confirm that the device is equipped with the PoE if the switch is passive; at the same time, please confirm the voltage of the access device is matched with the switch’s, otherwise it will burn the access device.!

Step 3: One installer holds the bottom of the switch by hands and move the switch to the settled position; another installer fixes the hangers to the front hole of the cabinet by floating nuts with the screws.

2).Please check the condition of the corresponding indicator when electrified. It means the connection works well when the indicator is ON; blocked when it is OFF, please check the wiring and confirm the corresponding device start up.
