Connection and performance levels NewTec products are available with various performance levels, where the letters S, M and V have the following meaning: Standard version S (80 - 100 watts – 8 ohms) M version (50 watts – 4 ohms) V version (100 volts with 4 performance levels)
S versions: Low impedance connection In all S models (100 watts / 8 ohms), the positive pole is red and the negative pole is black. M versions For the M versions, a filter must be installed in the place of installation, as indicated in fig. 1.
IMPORTANT: The positive pole is always located on the side of the capacitor. Normally the positive pole is also marked with a red dot (see fig. 2).
V versions: ELA technology (70-100 volts) All NewTec V model loudspeakers must be fitted with a transformer which can absorb 2.5 watts, 5 watts, 10 watts or 20 watts, depending on requirements.
IMPORTANT: Depending on the type of loudspeaker, there may be 5 or 6 screw clamps. The connection diagram to be followed is again that indicated above. ELA technology (70-100 volts) – external control unit The installation instructions for the NewTec external control unit are supplied with the product.

CONO ALTO ( S – M – V)
Note: The connection plates can be removed from the loudspeaker chassis. In this way the loudspeaker embedding depth is reduced by: - approx. 20 mm alto S - approx. 20 mm alto M - approx. 40 mm for alto V NewTec Cono alto has been specifically developed as an embedded ceiling mounting loudspeaker for sophisticated architectural requirements. The conical geometry of the membrane provides a dispersion of up to 180° even at the highest frequencies. The loudspeakers give a 360° horizontal diffusion of the sound. The excellent quality reproduction and sound fidelity is irresistible, both in the rendering of spoken words and in the reproduction of high quality stereo recordings. Thanks to this very wide angle sound diffusion and extraordinary sound efficiency, Cono alto is an excellent audio system at all frequencies for background music in private areas, diffusion in halls, public areas, boutiques, shops, galleries, museums etc., as well as for uses requiring an excellent understanding of the spoken word, such as conference halls, videoconferences, surround sound and similar applications. Supply volume (see attached sheet) Accessories available NewTec Backbox: Page 6 Embedded mounting box: Page 7 The mounting device has been designed for ceiling coverings with a maximum thickness of 35 mm. Cono alto is fixed to the upper edge of the false ceiling using three pole clips. Mounting requires a hole of 130 mm (cutter heads or drill bits available from specialist dealers; the mounting points can also be determined beforehand together with the installers of the ceiling covering). The embedding depth from the lower edge of the ceiling measures 50 mm for the Cono alto 8 ohms, and 55 mm for the M and V models. Cables for loudspeakers with a diameter of at least 1.5 mm2 connect the central amplification unit to the intended positions. If the audio system is to be expanded (for example using multiple channel technology), an empty pipe must be included during the construction phase. To guarantee maximum sound quality, the loudspeakers should be cabled according to their position (left channel… left etc.). If more than one system is used for stereo sound, the channels must be arranged alternately or diagonally to provide the listener with a stereo-acoustic sound. Final mounting: mounting without embedded mounting box: As already explained, a hole with a diameter of 130 mm must be made in the false ceiling. During installation of the loudspeaker, the system is automatically centred by way of three pins. The loudspeaker is connected to the system using alligator clips (always connect to the correct poles: + = red / - = black) and fitted to the hole in the ceiling. The three torx screws on the front of the loudspeaker fix the clips in place and anchor the system firmly to the ceiling. If an electrical screwdriver is used, proceed slowly and cautiously to prevent any damage to the fixing clips. Before tightening the screws, give them a half-turn anti-clockwise to ensure optimal insertion in the threading. If so wished, the screw heads can be covered with easily applied press-on caps.

Measurements:
Hole in ceiling: Ø130 mm
Minimum embedding depth required: 50 mm from lower edge of ceiling (alto S)
55 mm from lower edge of ceiling (alto M – V)
Maximum thickness of ceiling covering: 35 mm
Mounting with embedded mounting box: The mounting box must be embedded in the place of installation and connected using cables via an empty pipe. After connecting the signal cable (connect the poles correctly: + = red / - = black) the Cono alto is screwed on to the intended channels once the clip brackets have been removed. Cono pendo S – M – V
NewTec Cono pendo is an ideal solution for projects where the closed ceilings do not permit the use of embedded ceiling mounted loudspeakers. Its atypical design is striking thanks to its individual extravagance and clean lines. In terms of its sound, Cono pendo is a wolf disguised as a lamb. The conical geometry of the membrane provides a dispersion of up to 360° even at the highest frequencies. The excellent quality of reproduction and sound fidelity is irresistible, both in the rendering of spoken words and in the reproduction of high quality stereo recordings. Thanks to this very wide angle diffusion of the sound and its extraordinary sound efficiency, Cono pendo is an excellent audio system at all frequencies for background music in small areas, diffusion in halls, public areas, boutiques, shops, passageways, galleries, museums etc. Supply volume (see attached sheet) Final mounting: The installation of Cono pendo can be carried out in a simple and complete manner thanks to the accessories supplied. The hole for fixing the loudspeaker must be made near the cable exit point to ensure the system cover conceals all installation elements once mounted. The system can be installed tension-free, by first removing the cover then the loudspeaker contacts (fig. 1)
Fig.1) Fig.2) Next press the fixing hook and remove it from the support plate (fig. 2). The support plate can be mounted independently of the loudspeaker. PRO LINE ACCESSORIES
Support for wall mounting Pro 100 - Pro 200 The necessary accessories are available for the wall mounting of the Pro 100.
With its noble design, and produced using high-quality
materials, the Pro wall support is the perfect partner for
mounting the Pro 100. Mounting can be carried out with the
Pro 100 pointing upwards or downwards, as desired. After
removing the screw sealing the M6 threading between the
sockets, the system is put in position and screwed on to the
support. Connection occurs automatically during this
procedure. As in a connector, the wall support has two
banana plugs which connect the Pro 100. The system is
fixed into place by screwing on the threaded tie rod using an
opposed component on the other side of the support.
If the Pro 100 is to be mounted using the respective wall mounted support, the seal of the mounting anchor between the sockets must be removed. This consists of an M6 hexagon hollow head screw, which is removed using a 3 mm Allen key. Observing the correct direction of rotation, loosen the seal with a firm movement and remove it carefully. The wall mounting support is supplied with the mounting accessories. Now remove the support points. These are screwed into the threadings using threaded pins and can be removed by turning them anti-clockwise. If a threaded pin remains in the threading after the first attempt to unscrew it, remove it carefully using flat pliers. Use the mounting ring as a guide and make the respective holes for the plugs directly on the cable exit. Use the supplied pins for this purpose. If they are not suitable for the type of wall, contact a specialist shop and use the correct product. Screw the mounting ring of the wall mounting support on firmly. The loudspeaker cables must now be connected to the
31 - 40
wall mounting support using the attached clamp, connecting to the correct poles. As soon as the wall mounting support is connected to the signal cable, it can be screwed on to the mounting ring. Three stainless steel hexagon hollow head screws connect the wall mounting support to the wall mounting ring. The loudspeaker is now inserted into the wall mounting support and firmly screwed on using a full-length threaded tie rod. The loudspeaker is connected automatically via a connector (connect to the correct poles). An opposed stainless steel component anchors the system to the opposite part of the support arm. Set for ceiling mounting Pro 100 – Pro 200 – Pro 400
For the ceiling mounting of the Pro 100 / Pro 200 / Pro 400 we offer a suspension set in stainless steel in three different lengths: 20 cm / 40 cm / 60 cm.
The stainless steel ceiling mounting set consists of a fixing plate in stainless steel, a large, robust, standard cable in stainless steel and a firmly connected M6 threading for the fixing of the loudspeaker (fig. 1). The loudspeaker cable is fixed to the stainless steel cable using the clamps supplied and connected to the loudspeaker.

Pro 100 – Pro 200 suspension set
If you wish to mount the Pro 100 using the respective Pro suspension set, the loudspeaker must be prepared as follows: First remove the support points. These are screwed into the threadings using threaded pins and can be removed by turning them anti-clockwise. If a threaded pin remains in the threading after the first attempt to unscrew it, remove it carefully using flat pliers.
33 - 40
Then remove the seal from the anchorage between the sockets. This consists of an M6 hexagon hollow head screw, which is removed using a 3 mm Allen key. Observing the correct direction of rotation, loosen the seal with a firm movement and remove it carefully. The wall mounting support is supplied with the mounting accessories. Pass the stainless steel cable from behind through the hole in the mounting ring.
Use the mounting ring as a guide and make the respective holes for the plugs directly on the cable exit. Use the supplied pins for this purpose. If they are not suitable for the type of wall, contact a specialist shop and use the correct product. Screw the mounting ring of the wall mounting support on firmly. Now screw the supplied screw approximately 2 cm on to the threading at the end of the steel cable. This screw protects the threading from over-tightening and serves for the next fixing, so that the Pro 100 does not become unscrewed from the threading over time. Now screw the steel cable terminal completely on to the M6 pentagonal screw.
WARNING: Ensure the hexagon hollow head screw has been removed first. Now connect the loudspeaker cable, connecting to the correct poles. The loudspeaker cables can be connected to the steel cable using cable ties. The mounting of the Pro 200 – Pro 400 is carried out in the same way.

NewTec PRO 200
NewTec Pro 100 offers superb 360° sound characteristics. The speaker processes even high signal points of brief duration without distortion, providing breathtaking dynamics. Various accessories allow flexible positioning and mounting: the Pro 200 can be wall or ceiling mounted, or used as a mobile unit using the standard ‘loudspeaker supports’ for Professional Audio loudspeakers. During use with an active ‘high pass’ frequency amplitude (120 Hz – 18 dB/oct.), the Pro 200 can support a load of up to 240 watts and reach high volumes without the sound quality being affected or being bothersome for the listener. Supply volume (see attached sheet)
Accessories available - Pro 200 wall mounting support (installation as for Pro 100 – pages 30-31) - stainless steel suspension set (20/40/60 cm) – (installation as for Pro 100 pages 32-33) Preparation of place of installation Speaker cables with a diameter of at least 1.5 mm2 connect the central amplification unit to the intended positions (wall or ceiling). If the audio system is to be expanded (for example using multiple channel technology), an empty pipe must be included during the construction phase. To guarantee maximum sound quality, cable the loudspeakers in accordance with their position. If using multiple systems for stereo sound, the channels must be arranged alternately or diagonally, to provide the listener with a stereo-acoustic sound. Depending on the model, the signal and power cables (the latter only for active systems) must also be laid to the position of the subwoofer. Installation variation: Use of an M6 eyelet (not included), which is screwed on to the threading on the lower side of the Pro 200. Using spring catches (not included), the system can be clipped on to any support device. Always check the capacity of any support used. • Final mounting:

The Pro 200 is supplied with a standard support (Professional Audio tripod) for mobile mounting. This is useful above all for the diffusion of speeches in public places or similar. The connection of the loudspeaker is carried out using a Neutrik Speakon connector on the lower side of the Pro 200, thus guaranteeing connection to the correct poles. A further adaptation can be made for tweeter speakers. The necessary regulator is located inside the connection flange (Fig. 3 –b).
