Paddlewheel insertion type pulsing flow sensor.

General purpose, insertion flow sensor for many applications involving clean liquids (not suitable where liquid contains fibrous/sticky matter).

APPLICATION NOTES:-

All adaptor fittings are prefitted with ManuFlo patented Keyway insert adaptor and postioned at correct depth for capture of flows for the given

pipe diameter to suit the MRT/RPFS insertion flowmeter range.

For Manuflo to inhouse calibrate the MRT flowmeter or provide PPL for RPFS, then whilst ordering provide the internal diameter (I.D) of the pipe.

NOTE: Sizes 80mmΦ & above incur a surcharge if requiring a NMI-NSS1671 calibration on the ManuFlo Flow-rig.

PVC PVC slip keyway adaptor tees used with PVC-U pressure pipes – pipes are glued into the adaptor tees onsite.

All MRP/MRT units are calibrated to PN12 PVC pipe diameters upto 100mm.

GAL GAL galvanised iron adaptor keyway tees have BSP threaded connections ideal for use with galvanised pipe sections, also suitable for any form of pipe that can be adapted to the tee of similar size or larger.

SS SS 316 stainless steel adaptor keyway tees – pipe connection options as above.

Saddle Clamps

A range of Saddleclamp adaptor fittings are prefitted with ManuFlo patented Keyway adaptor insert to capture pipe flows.

To select the correct saddle size check the OD of the pipe that the saddle is to be fitted to.

To fit saddles, you must cut hole size diameter of 32mm, the adaptor nipple then drops into pipe cutout and should sit

approx. 5-10mm past the ID curvature of the pipe. (DO NOT lose seal gasket, overtighten bolts or fit on the underside of pipe).

Formula PPL for ManuFlo paddlewheel flowmeters (Models: RPFS, MRP, MRT)

Pulses Per Litre for a given pipe diameter Constant = 46,512 ÷ (pipe I.D. in mm)2

Example:- Pulses Per Litre for 200 mm I.D. pipe

Therefore 46,512 ÷ (200)2 = 46,512 ÷ 40,000 = 1.2 Pulses/Litre (this figure is then computed into the K-factor)
