Mantam

is a vertical Turkish search engine based on focus retrieval, which supports queries given in the form of text, music, voice, image, video over the web.

Enormous information flood deployed over the internet makes manual analysis impossible to achieve and hence, search technologies for harvesting the information become a de facto rule.

Our vertical search engine contrary to general purposed retrieval engines like Google, Yahoo, Yandex etc. crawls and indexes the internet resources in a given context. Based on our focus retrieval technology, only the web documents with respect to the context defined in advance will be retrieved and parsed into multimedia objects such as text, voice, music, image, video and indexed accordingly.

Mantam is equipped with ontologies to diminish the gap between vocabularies of author and readers. This extensive semantic

While rapid advances in computer and communication technologies make easier the lives of people, on the other hand, the intensive information environment reached massive proportions has increased the time to access specific information sought.

Our firm has developed the Mansad software product which is very interesting and innovative system that built on the architectural infrastructure of traditional information retrieval systems by foreseeing the need of person or organizations aiming to follow the specific issues constantly.

Mansad, launched in order to overcome the lack of a software product which can do a regular follow-up on the designated

topic or topics and inform the user updates / innovations about the issues they interested, is a first product in

Mansad proposes a system that based on the architectural infrastructure of traditional information retrieval systems however which is innovative. Manses is a software product that aims to design and develop a Turkish Speech Recognition (SR) and translation system by using Cloud Computing technology. It basically focuses on speech recognition.

Today in many areas (such as call centers, mobile translation systems, automatic dictation systems etc.) the use of voice recognition systems is widespread. But because of some difficulties due to Turkish language of Turkish voice recognition systems, the number of projects carried out on this language is not enough. In addition, as it is known, Turkish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. However, Turkey is the country with the most number of people speaks Turkish. For many years, Turkey plays a major role in the dissemination and teaching of Turkish.

Turkish language is a mature and very formal so it encourages most people to learn Turkish and to come to Turkey to meet with the culture. In addition, speech-to-text studies on Turkish language are insufficient and on the other hand an increased demand to learn Turkish is the most important reasons behind this idea. With this product, by using the latest technologies of today it is aimed to establish a Turkish speech recognition system.

The goal is to teach Turkish to foreigners, especially tourists, who do not know Turkish via a portable devices like mobile phones and to make translation of the sentences said by a person who speaks Turkish in to English.

Capabilities:

Thanks to this system, teaching and dissemination of Turkish language will be provided. Besides, it will be also provided that people who do not know Turkish (for example, tourists, foreign students studying in Turkey… etc.) can establish dialogue and relationship with the people who speak Turkish in an easy way. Although the focal point is the voice recognition, it is expected that the outcomes will be used by hearing-impaired people.

A hearing-impaired person can capture conversations via mobile device and send to the voice analysis system automatically and each speaker can be shown as a separate font color of on the screen of his mobile device.

Sakuwassa, as the word, means ‘seeing eye, eyes, God’ in Hittite language. It has improved in the case of terror but nevertheless it is a software product which can analyze any source in different languages as audio, image and text.

While rapid advances in computer and communication technologies make lives of people easier, on the other hand it provides important opportunities to criminal organizations whose purpose is to harm people. Internet has changed into an uncontrolled communication environment where borders have been abolished and international exchange is easier for terrorist organizations. Our company has initiated the Sakuwassa by realizing the national and international insufficiency about determining and monitoring of such terrorist attacks on the Internet. In addition to this reason, our software product previously developed, named MANSAD which focuses only text-based resources on the internet and no multi-lingual support, is another reason that triggered the initiation of this project.

The main purpose of the Sakuwassa, completed by July 2012, is to develop an intelligent system which is created to inform the users by systematically analyzing and collecting relative contents which are about all kinds of information and news wanted to monitor on the web.

Capabilities: Sakuwassa has an architecture structure that supports and allows multi-language and the addition of new languages to the system. It can determine whether the pages which were examined with the help of these obtained profiles are to terrorism by revealing sample terrorist profiles from terror related web pages determined and updated by expert users and multimedia content and monitors the specified addresses continually and classify them. Sakuwassa can scan goal-oriented resource, recognize objects from image (flags, flags, maps, etc.), make conversion to text from Turkish voice and do ontology-based inference via ontology management engine.

Textual and non-textual content can be analyzed at the same time, system architecture can be adapted to the needs of different users in different countries, it can determine the idea / vision set for the resources related to terrorism, includes support for multi-lingual environment, can make semantic inferences supported by the ontologies and it also can create web information map. Although the system seems to have focused on monitoring of security-based events, it can easily be used as a tracking system as a matter of its architectural infrastructure.

Manresis a content-based image search and retrieval engine.

Digital image databases are increasing exponentially day by day and image retrieval even harder. Both individuals and institutions encounter serious problems when building their image archives and later when retrieving the archived or copyrighted images.

Manres tries to retrieve images similar to a user-defined specification. One of the main advantages of this system is the possibility of an automatic retrieval process, instead of the traditional keyword-based approach, which usually requires very laborious and time-consuming previous annotation of database images. Consequently this causes us to find the plain text-based information inadequate, and as a result increases the value of the

visual content.

Manres is not affected by resized, transformed, flipped, mirrored, cropped, rotated or compressed images. 

Manres aims to provied more effective image search than plain text-based image search engines.

Manres can easily be customized according to the requirements both individual and institution archives.

Such infrastructure is provided by the usage on ontologies. Increasing use of internet in almost all areas bring the question of “Rightfulness of the information searched on Internet”. The query results are so many and mostly of them can be irrelevant this situation can cause serious time loss.

Today users want to directly retrieve reliable information and by this way to avoid time loss. This situation leads up to a strong connection between human and machines.

Information can be shared among different machines and reused by designing the ontologies according to certain standards. By this way information can be defined once and can be used many times. This is the reason ontologies used in semantic web.

A segmented document contains word groups that can be added to ontology. By using ontology feeding interfaces, users can add words to ontology classes that is relevant to his research domain.
