..the Model 'G-20' summit

The G-20 is the premier forum for the international economic development that promotes open and constructive discussion between industrial and

emerging-market countries on key issues related to global economic stability. The G-20 was created as a response both to the financial crises of the late

1990s and to a growing recognition that key emerging-market countries were not adequately included in the core of global economic discussion and

governance.

Manthan' is the simulation of the 'G-20' Summit.

The event will find you in the midst of a potpourri of discussions, debates & impromptu situations which will pull out the orator in you. 3 Action packed days will

land you in invigorating Knowledge dissemination sessions and Networking sessions with Top-knotch Speakers from the Corporate world, media & social

sectors, etc.

The Grand opening ceremony on Oct 14th will see keynote speeches by the who's who of India such as (tentatively) Sam Pitroda, KV Kamath, Arun

Maira, Ajit Ranade, YV Reddy, B Muthuraman. This will be followed by expert knowledge dissemination sessions & the formal beginning of the Summit.

The Discussions & deliberations on predefined topics shall begin on the first day 14th October.

The topics of discussion would include genres ofEconomics, International finance, Climate change, Social Issues, etc. Interspersed between the

subsequent sessions, would be the interactive lunch & dinnernetworking sessions, where the delegates of each country get a chance to understand

each other and other speakers, in an informal platform.

Each participating team will don the hat of a member country of the G-20. Individual calibre will be checked through the meetings of the heads of states, and

Finance Ministers & foreign ministers, individually represented by the members. The group meetings will test the group's overall mettle.

The event aims to replicate the Actual G20 settings, in look and feel, leaving an indelible impression on the participants.

The event will also enjoy coverage by mainstream media, making it an anticipated event in intellectual circles.

The entire event will be held at the world class IIT Bombay campus, which is endowed by state of the art Infrastructure.

Participants need to arrange their own transportation to reach the IIT Bombay campus on the designated dates oct 14th-16th. Accommodation & food

shall be provided to the participants at the campus, at no charge for all 3 days.
