Student Orientation Day September 4th
• Students and their parent(s) will attend school. • Students and parents will attend only one orientation session.
AM session 1 9:00-10:00 AM AM session 2 10:15-11:15 AM PM session 1 1:00-2:00 PM PM session 2 2:15-3:15 PM
• Transportation is not provided on the first day due to the adjusted schedule.
• Students initially attend class with their parents. • Parents leave class and attend a meeting with the principal. • Parents will return to the classroom to pick up their child at the end of
the orientation session.
First Full Day of Kindergarten September 5th
• Students ride the bus by themselves.
• Staff will escort students as they enter and exit the school.
• Parents may not visit the classroom.
• AM walkers enter the school at the playground doors.
• PM walkers enter the school at the main entrance on Eagle Road.
• PM walkers who have parents that drive may not drop off in the Eagle Road loop.

• Early dismissal schedule: Act 80 Days Alternating attendance

Home Activities to Promote Good Classroom Behavior
• Involve your child in play groups with children the same age.
• Promote and use good manners. • Talk to your child about the teacher’s
role as the leader of the classroom. • Work with your child to independently
prepare for the school day. He/she will need to remove his/her jacket, empty his/her book bag, hang up their jacket and book bag and bring his/her school materials to their table.
• Work with your child to help him/her understand that they need to be responsible for his/her own property and respectful of other’s property.

students. • Special education class sizes depends on the number of
students identified and program.
Arrival • HTSD Transportation
610-853-5929. Transportation provided to and from school for eligible students.
