My Philosophy and Objective:
Hi! My name is Mannu Gera. I reside in Faridabad, Haryana, India. Currently, I
am a Final year student at Amity University in Amity school of Architecture
and Planning Department studying Bachelors of Urban Planning.
While studying urban planning, I realised that cities are not only about the
residential, commercial or transportation part of it but also about the feel. The
people who live in a particular environment are what make the city more
gorgeous and lively. People usually make their own understanding of beautiful
city that give them comfort and sense of belonging. The design of the city is
accepted by people if they feel comfort and beauty in it.
Studying Urban Design at Masters’ level will be a huge leap of understanding
the city and their aspects of beautification and people bonding. I am just
fascinated by the idea of how people interact with the beauty of a arranged
structure in their daily life that makes it the part of their life, belonging and their
experience.
My prime objective for studying Urban Design is to be able to evolve the city
with its present aspects to make it as an expression of interaction within the
lives of people.
