Welcome to the

Home Show 2011!

The Manitowoc County Home Builders Association invites you to our 31st annual Home Show “Building

Homes and Families”. Each year for the past 31 years, our association has sponsored this Home Show as an

opportunity for the builders, home improvement contractors, and other related businesses to meet with

the people of our community. This show is full of exciting new exhibitors waiting to share their expertise

with you. You won’t want to miss the informative and exciting seminars on Saturday and Sunday.

• One on One conversations with industry professionals who have the latest in technology and designs.

• Products for inside and outside your home and from roof to basement. They can all be found at this years

Home Show.

• Informative seminars with industry experts and hands-on, do-it yourself.

The 2011 Home Show will again be at the Manitowoc County Ice Center located on the Expo fairgrounds.

It is a wonderful location to be able to showcase a variety of businesses, products, and services under one

roof.

Listen for live broadcast from WOMT during the show. Admission for the event is $3.50 for adults

and children under 16 are FREE with parents. Help us build a “House of Food” for the

Salvation Army; bring in non-perishable items and receive $.50 off the admission

price.

Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00 there will be a safe and secure drop off for

children 4 years and older. There will be a building project and numerous

activities to keep them busy while you look around the show.

The Manitowoc County Home Builders Association, formed in 1979,

when a group of concerned builders, developers and suppliers began a

professional association dedicated to having members who observe

high ethical standards in conducting their business. At over 170

business members strong, our mission as a professional, not-for-profit

organization of builders and related businesses is to promote

attainable, safe and quality housing. We serve our members and

our communities through education, government affairs and public

service.

Come see the latest ideas at the 2011 “Building Homes and Families”

Home Show at the Ice Center.

Being an Association of building professionals we are excited to offer the public this opportunity to visit the many exhibitors all under one roof. We are very pleased that Integrity Mutual Insurance is our partner for this event. Their support is much appreciated. The show offers free seminars to the attendees. We also partnered with Lowe’s to offer a free, safe, and secure area for you to drop off your children while you visit and talk with exhibitors.

Through funds generated from the Home Show we are able to offer con-tinuing education seminars to our members and the public, stay current and involved on government issues, and perform community projects. We have done numerous projects over the years, putting on roofs, building training facilities, helping community service organizations, and helping families in need.

Our Mission Statement “We are a professional not-for-profit organization of builders and re-lated business, that promotes attainable, safe and quality housing. We serve our members and communities through education, governmental affairs and public service.” Our members are proud to live in Manitowoc County and I encourage you to do business with businesses from the area.

Make sure you pick up our 2011 Membership Flyer that will be available when you come to the show. This listing is the “Go To Source” for all your building and remodeling needs.

Thank you, Todd Stelmach, Certified Builders

www.htrnews.com MCHBA 2011 HOME SHOW | March 25, 26 & 27, 2011 | March 2011 | 9

Approximately one-third of NAHB’s 170,000 members are home builders and/or remodel ers. The remaining members are associates working in closely related fields within the hous ing industry such as mortgage finance and building products and services. Manito-woc County Home Builders Association has over 170 members working in communities throughout Manito-woc County.

NAHB, WBA and MCHBA all serve members in a variety of ways, which in turn benefits consumers. Through education, including business management, cus-tomer service, construction techniques and more, the as sociation strives to improve the business per-formance of mem bers. By working with a builders as-sociation member, consumers know they are working with an individual and/or company com mitted to pro-fessional growth.

Manitowoc County Home Builders Association mem-bers have access to local, state and national resourc-es for industry information, research and technical

exper tise. Through publica-tions, trade shows, seminars and confer ences, members have exposure to the latest building products and services. With these opportuni ties avail-able to them, associa tion mem-bers can provide value-added insights and cost-saving tech-niques to their customers.

“Home Builders Care” has been a focus for NAHB for many years, and it is embodied through the WBA Foundation and com munity service projects under-taken by MCHBA. Association members truly care about the communities in which they work and live, and they have reached out to help those communities in many ways.

The networks of builders asso ciations across the country also strengthen their communities and the industry through work force development efforts.

From encouraging youth to choose housing-related careers to re training displaced workers, as sociation members know that a quality, professional workforce is essential.

From the federal to the lo cal level, association mem-bers concentrate on balanced legis lative, regulatory and judicial public policy. Guided by a vision of an America in which all citi zens have access to housing of their choice and the opportunity to realize the Ameri-can dream of homeownership, association members are dedicated to the prosperity of their industry and their communities.
