• Child Protection and Mental Health have the most incidents of in person contacts.

• Child Protection issues are the most time consuming. Then Mental Health and Juvenile Court.

• These numbers may not accurately reflect all calls-many situations involve multiple, informational type calls.

• More “other calls” have been added over the years-fuel assistance, food resources, housing, LTS, etc.

• The increase in business is multi-fold – More calls, more paperwork, more serious in nature and more complex situations that cross categories.

• A monthly meeting involving after-hours community service providers was started in 1986.

• The purpose of the meeting is to improve the quality of emergency adult and youth mental health and AODA crisis services through ongoing communication, coordination and collaboration between local crisis providers.
