Sir, During the Public Accounts Committee meeting held on? June, 2009 in the Manipur

Assembly Secretariat, it was hotly discussed for inclusion of eligible BPI, families living with

11W/AIDS under Antoyadaya Anna Yojana (AAY) scheme as per AAY guidelines. The

Department assured before the Committee to implement the proposal after a survey in

consultation With the District Administration within a time frame.

The consolidated data containing the Districts wise details of the Peop!c(Addresscs

living with HIV/AIDS is required by our Department for further classification of their status

- in order to implement the above scheme inclose coordination with District Administration.

Project Director, Manipur State AIDS Control Society may kindly make us available

The DO(CST)/MACS explained about the functioning of 7 (seven) ARTCentres in the State located at IEØN' Hospital dealing with 70 persons livingwith HIV/AIDS May), 1W (RIMS dealing with about SO persons /dayChandel, Thoubal, Ukhrui & CCP ( having 2 centres, one being run byprivatefNGo). The persons living with HIV/AIDS are required to make visits -to the their nearest ART centres once in a north for further treatment andthis system is a life long practice.

Since, the concerned persons are carrying tMr Identity Cads withphotographs, Identification may not be a problem

He further stated that there Is no ART Centres at Senapati. Tarnengiong& Bishnupur. However, Link ART Cnbas at Moreh, Kangpokpi & Tarnengfongare being activated within 2 months time.

After; brief deliberation, it was decided to provide lice transport to the11W/AIDS living persons to visit their ART Cntres once in a month with thefollowing modalities:-A (i) Buses: 3 persons /ttlp maxm.

ii) Mini/Medium Buses: 2 persons/trip maxm.

iii) Maxi Cabs 1 person/trip mixm.

B. It was also decided to convene shadow meetings by the Apex Level l otOranisations inviting their primary member Tpt societ iesfA'sns forImmediate implementation of the above modalities so agreed.

C. it was also decided to submit a compliance report to the Ministry of RoadTransport & Highways, GOl.

DECLARATION OF RESOLUTIONSiinphal, the

• Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) resolved to support thevision of NACORaII & reverse the HTVIAEDS epidemic by 2012.

• Incorporation of Ecaitli care and HIV/AIDS issues in the

curriculum of Sunday school.• Resolved that every church to form separate ministry/wing for

health care and mV/AIDS.• Give special exemption to all CLWHAS and children orphaned by

BIV/AJDS in all the Mission schools.

• Give space for HIV/AIDS awareness in every religious

occasions/functions.• Giving special attention to counselling for pre-marriage and

young couples.• Church leaders to preach general health care and TITV/AIDS

from the pulpit at least once in a month.• To ensure that all the churches observe "World AIDS Day" every

year.• Publish booklets on mV/AIDS in local dialects.• Publish and spread the theology of compassion and empathy.• Incorporate Health/HIV/AIDS issues in all the programmes of

religious gathering / functions.• Earmarked certain amount & incorporated, in the annual budget

of the churches for HAY/AIDS.• Resolv'd to submit the adopted resolutions to the Manipur State

AIDS Control Society (MACS) and the National AIDS ControlOrganization (iNAC(;) for kind information.
