Mangrove Planting

Thai Shimizu participated Mangrove planting

project which is set up by The Ministry of Natural

Resources and Environment with NGO in Thailand.

Mangroves that keeps coastal zones healthy.

Mangroves provide essential habitat for thousands of

species. They also stabilize shorelines, preventing erosion

and protecting the land and the people who live there from waves and storms.

In 2016, On 14th May and

27th August We Mangrove planting

with about 5,000 tree at Bang

Laem Education Center Petchaburi .

Participate in this mangrove planting

activity. To contribute to the

preservation of a mangrove forest

invaluable to the earth, we will

continue to participate in the activity

again next year and beyond.

To understand that

mangroves contribute

to prevention of

global warming by

absorbing CO2.

Education is the beginning of learning and implementation. At Thai Shimizu, we arrange environmental activities every year teaching the 4R’s : Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Reject in order to encourage environment preservation awareness. On 22 June 2016, we taught students eco awareness at Baan Phusai School, Khaomaikaew Tambon Banglamung Amphur Chonburi Province near Site TRT & Idemitsu. We focused on grade’s 4-5-6 involving 80 student to learn and utilize environmental 4R’s in their daily life. TSMZ Eco committee arranged with the project teams and invited the customers to join the eco campaigns, donate gifts, and educational equipment to the school, and also awarded environmental drawing, and tree planting.
