History:

• Trust was formed in Oct 1980; Bhumi Poojan in 1984• Abhishekam in June 1993• Temple is fully paid• Acquired additional 16 acres land adjacent to the temple

for a community use.

Mission:

Primary objective of building a Hindu Temple (Shri Mangal Mandir) in the Metropolitan Washington area is to help preserve the culture and rich heritage of the Hindu Religion and to reaffirm in the community the high values of life that they have always believed in. 

Activities:• Celebration of All Hindu festivals based on the Vikram Samvat

calendar.• Balgokulam - Activities for children ages 6 – 16 • Senior Club• Weekly Bhajan / Kirtan• Yoga Classes• Religious Discourses / Katha by renown kathakars from India• Medical camp / Seminar• Cultural and Musical Programs• Summer picnic and trips
