Jan EbelingDressage
Jan Ebeling is a highly sought after clinician and trainer internation-
ally and in the United States. For 30 years, Jan has been based in America after imi-grating from Germany and later receiving his citizenship, thus allowing him to ride for team USA in international competition. He has repre-sented the United States on the gold medal winning team for the 2003 Pan American
Games, World Cup in 2009, 2011, and 2012, as well as the London Olympics 2012, and was a member of the bronze medal Nations Cup team 2013 in Aachen, Ger-many, as well as earning nu-merous national titles at the USA national championships throughout the years.
Jan has trained riders and horses from young to Grand Prix for years, specializing in tailoring a specific program to meet the needs of the horse and the rider, using classical methods to create competi-tive dressage horses and rid-ers.
In addition to his heavy com-petition and training sched-ule, Jan is a USDF Young Rider Clinician, a member of the High Performance Dres-sage Athlete Committee, and owns and operates his train-ing barn in Moorpark, CA. George MorrisJumping
Presented By:
No one in the world has coached more Olympic riders and international
stars than George H. Morris, the legendary horseman who was the US show jumping team’s chef d’equipe from 2005 until 2012. For almost 50 years, Morris has trained riders ranging from talented teenagers to Olympic medalists, as well as conducting a never-ending series of clinics around the world, writing three influential books about riding and training, “Hunter Seat Equitation”, “George H. Morris Teaches Beginners to Ride”, and “The American
Jumping Style” as well as the monthly “Between Rounds” columns for The Chronicle of the Horse. He has also branched out into the world of video with The Science of Riding, which describes his approach to riding and teaching.
Morris became an equestrian star at age 14 by winning the nation’s two most prestigious equitation championships in the same year, the AHSA Medal Final and the ASPCA Maclay Final. He was a member of the Gold Medal-winning United States Equestrian Team at the 1959 Pan American Games and the Silver Medal-winning US Team at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome. He then turned his attention to teaching and training, although he returned to international competition in the late 1980s, winning the world’s richest grand prix.
The unbreakable doctrines of Morris’ philosophy are rigid self-discipline, doing things “the right way”, and proper horsemanship. He always endeavors to instill these ideals in his students and in their students.
People who say riding isn’t a sport are just intimidated.
Because in OUR game, the ball has a mind of its own.

Sandy CollierReining
Sandy’s analytical ap-proach to training and her consistency in both
the practice and show pens are esteemed by everyone who knows her. She credits her aptitude for Reining to her English riding background where Dressage focussed on the basics. Sandy’s training methods are a result of a life-time of success, and her per-sonal style is that of a perfec-tionist. Her rare talent as an educator and speaker may even exceed her exceptional talents as a horse trainer.
Born in Massachusetts and raised in New England, San-dy Collier’s love of horses began at an early age. She competed in her first horse show at the age of 6, and then continued to compete in events throughout her school years. After deciding that college was not for her, she travelled across Canada and in 1972 ended up in Santa Barbara, California. At the age of 19, she found work that suited her at the Tajiquas Ranch, where her main re-sponsibilities were feeding, grooming, training and shoe-ing the ranch’s horses. Sad-dle making, tack braiding and breaking horses were duties that were added to her ever widening range of tasks.
With the help of Doug Inger-soll, Sandy began to com-pete in event in the California Reined Cow Horse Associa-tion showing Quarter Horses. In 1979, she moved to Santa Ynez where she worked for trainer Tom Shelly before go-
ing out on her own. She man-aged a full barn while working part-time as an emergency technician for a mobile life support company and then in a hospital emergency room.
In the early 1980’s she began to make a name for herself in CRCHA events with wins that included the Open Bridle Championship, a year-end Open Hackamore Champion-ship and a Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Finals Placing and La-dies Division Reserve Cham-pionship.
Sandy is the only female rider to win the world’s toughest cow horse event. She has ranked in the top five reined cow horse all-ages, all divi-sions riders, and is ranked
among the top 10 for NRCHA earnings. She was also a regular finalist in the cutting futurities when she showed cutters.
Sandy received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008, (awarded by Monte Roberts); and was Inducted into the Cowgirl Hall of Fame in 2011.
Sandy holds or has held the following affiliations and posi-tions:
NRCHA Board of Directors NRCHA Foundation Board NRCHA Rules and Show Committee; NRCHA Eth-ics Committee; NRCHA AA Judge; and AQHA Profes-sional Horseman’s Associa-tion Member

Brian JensenDriving
Brian has owned and operated Trinity Fjords as a Breeder and
Driving Trainer for 27 years. Looking for ways to learn and grow Brian discovered Combined Driving which is now his forte after competing in approximately 35 CDE’s driving single’s, pair’s, tan-dem, and four’s. In the late 80’s Brian and Ursula were one of the founding five Ca-nadian families for the Pacific Northwest Fjord Promotional Group. In the early 90’s Brian was contacted by the NFHR to serve on their first Evalu-ation committee which de-veloped the template of the Evaluation Program we have today.
In 1994 Brian was long-listed for the Canadian National Driving Team but declined due to geography and eco-nomics. In 1995 Brian was carded by the Canadian Equestrian Federation, now Equine Canada in Driv-ing and Draft for Judging all breeds. Brian then went on to Judge several all breed shows in Driving and Draft. Coinciding with the Judging, Brian has given many Pre-Evaluation and Driving Clin-ics all over America. Brian provided novice CDE clinics for interested whips and navi-
gators. This resulted in the ADS recognized CDE called the Teddy Bear CDE hosted by Warren and Sylvia Riddle of Mead, Washington.
In 2002 Brian received his NFHR Evaluator status year-ly working ongoing Evalua-tions for the NFHR and the CFHA. In 2006 Brian was recognized by the CFHA as one of their Evaluators Na-tionally and was accepted Internationally by FHI as an International Evaluator for Canada. From 2004 to 2008 Brian served as FHI Director representing North America to Fjord Horse International. The CFHA then joined FHI formally and the Canadian flag joined the American flag along with all the other FHI member countries.
During that time period Bri-an trained Fjords to drive in Germany for Eike Schon-Pe-terson, German Fjord Horse President. Brian then import-ed two lifts of quality Fjord breeding stock from Eike and Susie dispersing them across Canada and the USA to their new respective owners. From 2004 to 2008 Brian Guest Judged Young Stock Fjord Shows yearly in Denmark and Norway.
Trinity Fjords began offering Driving Training Packages in the 90’s to Fjords Horse own-ers and breeders. To date they have completed ap-proximately 50 Driving Pack-ages with their five schooling Fjords. In 2007 Brian retired as a Mental Health Therapist working in Health Care for the Province of British Columbia. In active retirement Brian continues to Judge/Evaluate and train Fjords and people to drive.
When people say it’s JUST a horse,
they JUST don’t understand…

Dee ButterfieldBarrel Racing
Dee started rounding the barrels when she was 11 years old and has
not stopped. She was named one of the top 15 Barrel Rac-ers in the World going to the National Finals Rodeo in 1975 and won the Canadian Barrel Racing Championship in 1992. Dee has qualified for the Canadian Finals Rodeo a total of 11 times on five differ-ent horses. And she has rid-den many horses to Futurity and Derby championships. Dee has been a barrel racing and horsemanship clinician
for over 30 years, assisting hundreds of riders to pur-sue their dreams. Although she has always raised and trained several barrel racing prospects per year, it is within the last fifteen years that her interest in breeding the barrel race horse has become her focus.
With over six decades of ro-deo experience and horse-man’s knowledge, Craig and Dee know their horses! Origi-nally they stood the Stallion, Sonitas Chula Joe (Sonitas Last, world champion cutting horse stallion by Peppy San out of Eternal Chula, NFR, CFR barrel racing mare) and Goasohol (son of “Mito Paint”). Presently at stud are Raisin The Moon and Perfect Possibility, stallions carrying world class race blood lines. Also for sale are offspring from 20 proven perform-ers and/or proven producing mare of performance and race families

Dennis QuilliamsGaited Horses
For the past 20 plus years Dennis has fo-cused his love for
training and riding on gaited horses. He has conducted clinics for gaited horses in WA. state, Oregon, Saskatch-ewan , Manitoba, Alberta and BC. Dennis uses a variety of exercises to encourage and enhance the gait. As with all horses muscle develop-ment is very important, as is the maturity of the horse. For several years he, along with his wife Karen, worked as Manager and Trainer, on a gaited horse ranch, in Sno-qualmie, WA. While on the ranch he studied the various gaits of the over 100 differ-ent breeds of gaited horses. He trained Gaited Mountain Horses, Tennessee Walkers, Peruvians, and Paso Fino. He has also worked with the Fox Trotters, Tennessee Walkers, Icelandics, Saddle-bred and various crosses of gaited horses.
The Quilliams method of horse training results from years of experience. Dennis incorporates the philosophy of training from other Natu-ral Horsemen. He bases his philosophy of training on the mutual respect of horse to man and man to horse. He uses the principles learned from TTOUCH/TEAM, as well as the Centered/Connected riding philosophies. Qavah Training (“to bind together”)
incorporates the 5 C’s Con-fidence, Consistency, Com-passion, Connection and Communication.
Dennis began his love of horses as a young man (40+years ago). He lived in the middle of Winnipeg, MB. So he had to hunt to find that “elusive dream”. At the age of 12, he mucked stalls at a local riding stable in exchange for lessons. Beginning with rid-ing English, he soon proved to be a natural horseman and advanced from riding to teaching. He trained his first horse within that first year.
He went on to work at vari-ous ranches in Alberta, BC & Saskatchewan, continuing his learning and training of ranch horses. He has worked with and trained Quarter horses, Appaloosas, Paints, Friesians, Arabians, Warm-bloods, Thoroughbreds, and Trakaneners, to name just a few.
Dennis and his wife, Karen, currently live in Red Deer, Alberta, where they operate HorseSense HorseManShip and Special Ability Horse-ManShip. Many riders they work with have a variety of special needs and challeng-es. Horsemanship lessons are done for able bodies rid-ers “from the ground up”. Training of gaited horses is a specialty! Their herd consists of Paso Fino, Peruvin Paso, Fox trotter, Rocky Mountain Horse along with cross bred of a HQ/RMH, and a RMH/TW/Racking horse . A quote from Dennis: “I enjoy work-ing with horses, riders with special needs (that is prob-ably most of them! ) and the challenge of helping every-one better use their abilities. I also love to do clinics and help people connect with their horses in a special way.”
Even the Greenest horse has some-thing to teach the greatest rider

Scott PurdumMaryland
Scott Purdum is a na-tionally recognized clinician, who is help-
ing horse owners around the country with his unique and proven training methods. Scott’s special relationship with horses began at a very young age.
Recognizing Scott’s natural ability with horses, his par-ents purchased his first horse for him at age 3 and began nurturing his talent and love of horsemanship. By the time Scott was 6 years old, he was showing in hunter and plea-sure, which he continues to this day.
Growing up and working on his family’s horse farm gave Scott limitless opportunity to develop his sound methods for training horses. As a riding instructor in both the English and Western disciplines, he soon recognized the impor-tance of incorporating those training methods to help rid-ers form positive working re-lationships with their horses.
Scott has worked as an intern with top-rated Quarter Horse trainer Ken Adkins of West Virginia and studied equine science at the University of Maryland. He has authored several articles featuring problem-solving training ex-ercises, and also produced the popular 2-disc training DVD, “Where Do We Start?”
Scott resides in Union
Bridge, Maryland, where he offers clinics, trains horses, runs a Professional Trainer program, and provides riding instruction, as well as travel-ing the country offering large group sessions and one-on-one instruction.
Scott’s expertise in horse care and management, cou-pled with his natural skill in all aspects of equitation and training, helped to build the foundation for his successful training program, Advantage Horsemanship.
Since then, Scott has helped countless horse owners to form a trusting bond with their horses. Scott has dedi-cated himself to “Rehabilitat-ing Horses One Owner at a Time” through his Advan-tage Horsemanship training method. The focal point of his training is the individual, customized attention given to students and their horses. With his proven training tech-niques and easy-to-under-stand instruction,
Scott is able to help even the most difficult of horse/owner relationships. Scott has out-lined three important ele-ments that must be in place before you start working with your horse. Be Smart.
Take every opportunity to educate yourself about horses and their behavior. Be Safe. Always remember you are working with an ani-mal weighing 1,000 pounds or more that is capable of causing you harm at any time. Keep Things Simple. If it is difficult for you to under-stand, it is most likely difficult for your horse to understand as well.
Using Scott’s four main train-ing principles of Leadership, Exercise, Affection, and Dis-cipline, you can be confident that you will have a willing partner in your horse.
The worst part of riding is when you dismount.

Brandi LyonsArizona
Brandi Lyons carries on with the most trusted name in the horse in-
dustry. Over the last 18 years, she has become admired and respected by horse own-ers and enthusiasts around the country.
Growing up on a cattle ranch in Colorado, Brandi has al-ways loved horses: “I was always in love with the Spirit of the Horse; they seemed so calm and loving. Never judg-ing. Never jealous. Unchang-ing. My mare as a child,
Misty, was my best friend.”
Brandi traveled at an early age with her dad and at the Equine Affaire in Ohio in 1997. Mollie Cotton asked her to do her first private clinic and she never looked back. “I love clinics, I love the atmosphere, and I love to see a big change in such a short period of time.” The Lyons’ conditioned response training methods teach peo-ple how to work with their horses using gentle train-ing methods, earning the horses respect while creat-ing a safe and willing partner. Brandi traveled from coast to coast giving clinics up until 2008, when she decided to stay home and take care of her daughters. She began a monthly training business and started a few small clin-ics. “I have learned so much from the monthly training and I have such a new under-standing of horse owners and their needs. It was the best
thing I could have ever done for my teaching and clinics.” “We are all very excited for Brandi to make a comeback to the clinician world. She has been missed by many. “She is by far one of the best teachers and cares more about her students than any-one I know.” Says her dad. “I am sure that Phoenix is going to miss a great trainer but the nation is getting a phenom-
enal clinician back!”
Brandi shares her life with her husband, JD, and their five beautiful daughters. Brandi loves hanging out with them, watching movies, and play-ing volleyball with them. She loves to go ranch sorting with her mom and friends. She is an easy person to talk to and truly does care about her cli-ents and friends.

Dale ClearwaterSaskatchewan
Dale Clearwater grew up on a grain farm near Nipawin, Sask. He be-
gan working with horses on the provincial pasture system at age 16. During his eight years on the pasture Dale refined his skills by attending as many clinics as he could and watching videos. Pasture work also taught Dale the art of working and handling cattle. After some early suc-cess in ranch horse competi-tions, Dale decided to try the cowhorse arena. In prepara-tion he spent winters working for reining horse and cutting horse trainers. Following his last summer on the pasture
Dale was hired by a cowhorse trainer, where he spent a full year under his guidance.
In 2003 Dale moved back to Saskatchewan to start up his own operation on what is now known as Justabouta Ranch. Dale has been successful in the cutting pen, but is more known for his success in the Reined Cowhorse Arena. In 2011 he landed himself in the top 30 NRCHA money earn-ing trainers. More recently he has enjoyed competing in the trainers challenges.
Dale loves to work with hors-es in the show pen but also at home on the ranch with his wife Teri and their two boys Caleb and Westin. It is a life-style he is passionate about and one that he is always quick to give all the glory to God, for the gifts and talents he has been given, the op-portunities to share them with others, and the success he has shared with his family and clients. In his “free” time, Dale loves spending time at the lake fishing, wake-board-ing and getting some R&R.
Adiva MurphyWestern Dressage
Adiva started her h o r s e m a n s h i p experience growing
up in Alberta on her parents Arabian breeding facility. Being raised on a ranch Adiva quickly became inseparable from the horses. Beginning at the age of 5 she started showing in English and western disciplines. From an early age Adiva demonstrated a gentle and fearless way with horses that foreshadowed her true
calling.
By the mid 1990’s Adiva’s talent with horses impressed Pat Parelli enough to make her a working student at his Natural Horsemanship University in Colorado for six months. From there Adiva went to manage a successful Thorobred training and breeding facility in Calgary.
In 2001 Adiva moved to the west coast with her horse Cowboy to be closer to family where she began a career in office administration. Soon Adiva’s love for horses led her back to a career in Natural Horsemanship. After studying her level 3 Parelli Natural Horsemanship Adiva began to develop her own style. Her concepts were created by studying the teachings of master horsemen like Bill Dorrance, Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, John Lyons and Pat Parelli.
God didn’t create the horse for a tool. He created it so girls could have a best
friend.
