Eclectic Hotel Collection consists of four luxury townhouse hotels within Manchester. Great John Street ‘the old school house’ and our newest addition to the portfolio King

Street Townhouse “a baby grand hotel” both located in the city centre. Didsbury House and Eleven Didsbury Park hotels located in the surburban village of Didsbury and finally, completing the collection is On the 7th a private members & event venue

located in MediaCityUK.

Mixing history and modernity, from an Italian renaissance building dating back to 1872 comes Eclectic Hotels newest offering, King Street Townhouse. Located within the

Upper King Street Conservation Area, the former Manchester Salford Trustee Bank has now been lovingly converted into a luxurious ‘baby grand’ hotel.

The 6th floor is opulent in design and can be hired exclusively for your special day, which can include your civil ceremony, formal or informal wedding breakfast and

evening reception. It can also be used as part of an exclusive hotel hire. Enjoy a drink reception whilst taking in the stunning Manchester skyline on the private South Terrace

including views of the magnificent Town Hall and Great Abel Clock.

The terrace is heated and covered and is connected through folding patio doors opening the area up to the 6th floor lounge with a dual aspect fireplace adding to the

romance of the interconnecting space.

An open kitchen looking out onto the 6th floor completes the aesthetic and sensory spectacle. The kitchen has its own pizza oven to provide delicious late night snacks, or perhaps you would prefer to offer your guests midnight munchies, the choice is yours.Once your wedding breakfast has ended the seated area transforms into a dance floor

where you and your guests can party the night away.

We can assist you in organising live music or DJ’s, please ask for more details. As we are situated in a residential area music must be played within a set area and music

restrictions and considerations must be adhered to.Eight bedrooms, consisting of 6 snugs and 2 suites, will surround the 6th floor and are

required to be booked when having a DJ playing until late.

The Work and Social Hubs are located on the 1st floor of the hotel, lovingly restored this space retains the character of the old bank whilst exuding the luxury and style you

would expect from Eclectic Hotels.

The Hubs can be hired as one large combined area which can seat a maximum of 80 guests for a formal wedding breakfast.

Alternatively this can be divided into individual spaces to hold small ceremonies, information on this can be provided upon request.

This is an indoor space only, available to you and your guests.The built in state of the art DJ and music system means that you and your guests can party in style in to the small hours. There will be 3 Luxe Junior Suites surrounding the

area that are required to be booked when having a DJ playing until late.

Formal wedding breakfasts can be hosted in the Work and Social Hub for up to 80 guests. Alternatively the space can be divided with a formal meal of up to 30 in the Small Hub and 50 in the Large Hub. Our 6th floor can accommodate a traditional

sit-down for up to 90-100 guests.

For an informal dining experience or drinks reception King Street Townhouse can ac-commodate up to 150 people on the 6th floor, and 80 informally in the Work and Social

Hubs.

Wedding Breakfast


King Street Townhouse is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in several areas. It is our policy to only hold one wedding per day.

Your ceremony can take place on the 6th floor in the modern rooftop extension. Here you can enjoy the spectacular floor to ceiling view of Manchester including the Town

Hall and wed infront of a roaring fire to the delight of up to 100 guests.

For a more intimate ceremony you may prefer the Work and Social Hubs located on the 1st floor, with a capacity of up to 80 guests.

King Street Townhouse has 40 unique and individually designed bedrooms. Each room has luxury features such as a monsoon shower, air-conditioning, wifi, and Sky TV

including Sky Sports. We have five types of rooms ranging from Snugs to our Suites, which boast a Super King Size bed and free-standing bath in the bedroom - what a

perfect place to end your fairy-tale day.

Weddings require a minimum amount of bedrooms to be booked as following:Weddings taking place on the 6th floor & Terrace are required to book 8 bedrooms

located on the 5th floor of the hotel.

Weddings taking place in the Work and Social Hubs are required to book 3 bedrooms located on the 1st floor of the hotel.

Accommodation

Exclusive UseKing Street Townhouse can be hired exclusively for your wedding. This means you take

private hire of the entire hotel including all event spaces and 40 bedrooms available for double occupancy including breakfast for all residents the following

morning.

On this basis we can accommodate up to 175 guests informally.We would love you to enjoy all King Street Townhouse has to offer with exclusive use

from 3pm until 11am the next day.

Didsbury House is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies in the blue lounge. This stylish and eclectic lounge has rich interiors and a feature fireplace with glass chandelier

making it perfect for an intimate ceremony.

Double doors open up to the adjoined boardroom decorated in the same style with mirroring chandeliers, allowing guests to be seated in the blue lounge whilst the bride

enters through the double doors and marries in the bay window.

Subject to availability at the time of booking, weddings taking place at Eleven Didsbury Park may book the blue lounge at Didsbury House for the ceremony.

Formal wedding breakfasts can be held at Didsbury House using the el egant blue lounge. Alternatively we offer several options for an informal wedding breakfast from

our Eclectic BBQ’s to bowl food or hog roasts, we have something to suit all requirements.

BBQ’s are a sizzling success at all properties giving a different and very eclectic approach to the all important wedding breakfast. There is nothing that compares to the

smell, taste and experience of a good BBQ. Available with menus for all seasons.

With hiring the whole house your evening reception can be informal and suit all generations of your wedding party. The blue lounge and boardroom are furnished with

comfy sofas and relaxed lounge chairs providing the perfect setting for friends and family to mingle.

The large gold lounge can be cleared of some furniture to open up a dancefloor where you can party the night away with your own DJ.

*Please note as we are in a residential location music restrictions and considerations apply.

The bar area is another relaxed room adjoined to the gold lounge where the gents can congregate and explore the wall of spirits on display. Leading off from the gold lounge and bar is the walled terrace with full coverage available subject to weather conditions, heaters and lights turn this area into an intimate area that can be used all year round.

Didsbury House has 27 individually designed bedrooms and suites for double occupancy with the option of some twin rooms if required and additional beds for

children at a small supplement.

With exclusive use all 27 rooms are included on a bed & breakfast basis and you can advise on rates that you wish your guests to pay on departure which in turn is deducted

from the exclusive use fee.

Taking exclusive use of the house means that you can resell the rooms to your guests. You inform us of the rates everyone will pay on departure and this amount is deducted

Great John Street is licensed to hold wedding ceremonies in several areas of the hotel however please note the hotel has a policy to only allow one wedding to take place on

any single day.

The Library located on the ground floor adjacent to the Oyster bar lounge is licensed for a maximum of 40 guests. This room has rich interiors and a feature fireplace making it perfect for an intimate ceremony. Leading off from the Library is a small school yard

terrace available for your drinks reception.

The Headmaster’s office located on the mezzanine level is licensed for up to 50 guests with contemporary design and neutral tones. The mezzanine can be utilised for your drinks reception allowing the Headmaster’s office to be turned around for a formal

wedding breakfast.

The boy’s and girl’s classrooms located on the ground floor are both licensed for 25 guests making them ideal for just close family & friends.

The Rooftop Lounge is situated adjacent to our beautiful Rooftop Terrace, with patio doors along one side. Wooden oak flooring and stunning showpiece lighting make this room a unique and attractive venue for your ceremony, licensed to hold up to 100

guests.

Formal wedding breakfasts can be hosted in our Headmaster’s office for up to 46 guests, the Library for up to 40 guests or opened up into the mezzanine and Oyster bar for up to 170 guests. Alternatively our Rooftop Lounge can accommodate a traditional

sit-down for up to 80 guests.

For larger numbers or for a more informal feel Great John Street can accommodate up to 200 people in the Oyster bar or 120 people in the Rooftop Lounge & Playground.

With your own private bar the area can be cleared for your evening reception to open up a dancefloor and party the night away.

The Rooftop Lounge & Playground


The Oyster bar & lounge located on the ground floor can be hired privately in conjunction with the Library, Headmaster’s office, mezzanine & kitchen area for a

stunning back drop to your special day

This large area can host a traditional sit-down wedding breakfast and is a spectacular space for your evening reception.

Your chosen band and/or DJ can set up on the mezzanine with the dancefloor below under the eye catching chandelier.

The Library, furnished with deep comfy sofas and chairs provides a quieter setting for socialising, keeping all your guests happy from the party animals to the older

generations.

The DJ and live music are permitted however music restrictions do apply and may require a minimum of 17 bedrooms to be hired with the wedding that are located on the

ground and first floors around the Oyster bar.

Buffets and evening food can be set out on the upper mezzanine floor in the kitchen area or in the Headmaster’s office.

The Oyster Bar


Great John Street has 30 individually designed duplex bedrooms and suites, each containing a free standing roll top, cast iron bathtub - or two! As well as a walk in

monsoon shower.

Friday, Saturday & bank holiday Sunday weddings attract a minimum requirement for bedrooms to be booked as follows:

Weddings taking place in the Rooftop Lounge & Playground are required to book 13 bedrooms located on the second floor of the hotel.

Weddings taking place in the Oyster bar & lounge are required to book 17 bedrooms located on the first floor and mezzanine level.

For Sunday to Thursday weddings where no live music is required we are happy to be flexible with accommodation bookings and do not impose any minimum restriction.

Accommodation

Exclusive UseGreat John Street can be hired exclusively for your wedding. This means you take

private hire of the entire hotel including all event areas and 30 bedrooms available for double occupancy, including breakfast for all residents the following morning.

On this basis we can accommodate up to 200 guests and live mu sic can be played all night upon application of a late license when located in the Oyster bar or until 01.00am

if located in the Rooftop Lounge.We would love for you to treat Great John Street hotel as your home for the day with

exclusive use from 3pm till 11am the following morning.

We can accommodate weddings from an intimate group of 20 to a grand 230 guests with exclusive use including a range of hide away spaces to be hired out with various styles and layouts. As such we highly recommend a show around with our wedding

co-ordinator to walk you through all the spaces available and discuss all of the options on your wish-list.

On The 7th can be hired exclusively on the weekends for the ultimate party as a place where you and your guests can dance the night away with our late night bar service.

With no restrictions on music you can hire in your own live band or turn the DJ up for a night never to be forgotten.

End your special day in true eclectic style by spending the night at one of our exclusive sister hotels located only 10 minutes away, accommodation packages can be arranged.

Civil Ceremonies

We would ask you to liaise directly with the local registrar’s office or Church to arrange your ceremony.

(You can telephone the Manchester Register Office on 0161 234 5555 or Salford Register Office on 0161 909 6501 to make the neces sary arrangements).

Please note the civil ceremony must not contain any religious references, and music used for the ceremony cannot be of a religious nature. The music can be provided by yourselves and will be played and changed accordingly by our staff, so leave it in our

capable hands. Alternatively you may wish to arrange live music.

Accommodation - Guest Contribution

In certain packages where accommodation is included in the fee or in exclusive use where all bedrooms are included in the fee you can decide on rates that you would like

your guests to pay on departure to the hotel directly.

These rates amount to the guest contribution and is deducted off the total pre-paid bill however you are responsible for any variance in the guest contribution caused by

unused rooms or guests failing to pay prior to departure.

Making a Booking

Please do not hesitate to contact our Wedding Co-ordinator for any further information. All venues are diverse and flexi ble venues so should you have an idea you can’t find details for, please do discuss with our events team. We will ensure your tailor made

needs are our top priority exceeding your expectations and requirements.

A date can be provisionally held for up to seven days, in order to confirm this a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required.

Weddings can be arranged seven days a week, we carry out a policy that we will only permit one wedding on any single day.

Our Wedding Co-ordinators will handle your booking and answer any ques tions or queries that may arise in the run up to your wedding. This will be your point of contact

at helping you to make and finalise all of your arrangements.

A dedicated person will be responsible for looking after you on the day itself, from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
