DESCRIPTION

This was presented at Daily Dump on 19th Feb 2011 during a waste awareness and management programme. It highlights the challenges faced in managing waste in large apartments and how it is important for the builder to incorporate a total waste management facility at the design stage. Many apartments are fitted with garbage chutes which have proved to be a barrier to segregation of garbage at source (experience at Brigade Millennium Mayflower, JP Nagar, Bangalore).
