• “Batch” your jobs?– Set certain times of the day to check your
email or voicemail … with a time limit!
• Redirect work to others? – Especially when on vacation!
Checklist for ManagingYour Electronic Devices TURN THEM OFF! Batch your activities. Delegate as much as possible:
Responsibility cannot be delegated but authority can be.
In dealing with electronic communications use the 4 Ds: Do It. Delegate It. Designate It. Delete It.
Use installed applications to organize your electronic mailbox and calendar.
Establish your expectations concerning electronic communications and explain them to your associates.
