Born in Montréal, Ira acquired his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in 1975 and then, after earning his diploma in pub-lic accountancy at McGill University, went on to become a licensed Chartered Accountant in 1978.

After being associated with several accounting firms, Ira established his accounting practice in 1990. He practices as a sole practitioner under the firm name of Abrams & Company. For over twenty years he has helped clients understand their options, illuminating paths to success, whether they are individuals or small businesses.

Recently, Ira shared his Canadian Income Tax knowledge with Algonquin College students as a part-time lecturer.
