Last bus to San Jose left at 2.30 am thus leaving

the bus stand empty. The only living things left

were some bats and its prey.

A man in a black coat came running with a bag

and went missing into the dark.

Chapter 1

''David, Please help me David, they goanna kill

me''

Again the same dream made him jump out of his

bed. He was sweating profusely. This dream

which was haunting him from couple of weeks.

He was thirsty. He looked for the jug kept asidehim, it was empty. He went to the kitchen and

gulped the entire bottle from the refrigerator.

He switched on the television.

Deadly virus kills 21 people in Kansas City

yesterday.

He lighted a cigarette. He was confused and

frustrated. His mind went unstable and he threw

away the cigarette in that frustration.

His research again failed to show some light on

Cinzor the virus which was spreading inAmerica.

David Ken was in his mid thirties. He was a

Chief Research Coordinator at St Andrews

University. His Blonde hair and Pointed Jaws

gave him a resemblance of Brad Pitt. All the

girls in that University had a crush on him, even

some boys.

He used this to get many girls as his blanket for

a night.

It was 8.30 am and he had an appointment with

a physician, one Dr Perry.

A woman started packing her bag. She did it

faster, faster as she could. She was in her

mid thirties. She had a manly figure with

broad jaws and bulky shoulders. She was

wearing a black color shorts and a leather

jacket.

Taxi..

'' Martha Apartment, Jonas Street She said in a

hurry.

Chapter 2

''You are perfectly alright David, just a

hallucination thats it'' Perry said while eating

some cashew nuts.

''Do some medication and everything would be

fine.''

Soon David was out on street waiting for a cab.

His phone started ringing ''Mom calling''...

David picked the phone

David, How are you son?, Why dint you call me,

your cell phone was switched off the whole day

and even your landline was not reachable.Mom I washuh.

''Mom wait a second, I got a cab'' David said

while pointing his one hand towards the taxi

man.

''Taxi Taxi...St Andrews University''

Mom hello, hello, hello, Mom you there...Beep Beep.

David's moms lived in New York with his

younger brother Max.

David wanted Masters in Viral science and St

Andrews University was the place. He even got

a chance to work there as a research

coordinator under Dr Yotesmo Zukumi.

He loved his job but he really missed his mom.

He often went to see her.

Dr Yotesmo was one of the pioneers of AndrewsUniversity. But he got fired from the University

when experiments regarding the study of new

antivirus against the virus spreading in the

country that killed three Lab assistants. Thus

University head Richard Jack proscribed him

and his work.

But unfortunately after a week, Yotesmos car

blasts and he gets admitted with 95% burns but

dies the very next day. His burns were so severe

that his wife couldnt even recognize his face.

Richard Jack appoints David as the new head

on the study carried against the deadly virus.

David had to start the study from the scratch.

Dr Yotesmo never shared his work with his

colleagues. David had a hard time assisting him.

You should have a beer; she said shaking her

blonde curls at him. Whiskeys no good to

anyone in this heat.

Give your mouth a rest David said.

David again dialed a number in his cell phone

The number you are trying to reach iscurrently unavailable

He banged his cell phone on the table with

frustration.

She put a bottle and a glass on his table.

Anything more sir She asked

Nothing, just leave me alone David said

squinting his head

She returned back with a scowling look.

Brainless prosaics drink alcohol at 10 am in

the morning, she said while cleaning a wine

class with a piece of cloth.

Lady, bring me another glass and a Cheese

Omelette He said showing the empty glass to

the blonde.

Stupid now wants an Omelette She told to

herself, Coming sir give me five minutes.

She filled him with another glass of Whiskey.

In another 10 minutes the blonde came over

with his plate of Omelette and she left without

asking him anything.

Mark Mark, where the hell you been. I have

been trying your number since morning David

said as fast as he could.

Slow down man, what happened David Mark

asked in hesitation.

I got a call from Mr. X, David said in a low

voice.

Who? Mark asked willingly.

Nothing, I am waiting for you in Mindys Bar,

come down fast David hissed and kept the

phone back to his pocket.

Mark once shared room with David. He works

in California Shares Department. He is a good

friend of David.

Mark moved to Martha Apartment in Jonas

street couple of months back after he got

engaged to a woman with a strange name

Quendillon Deytona.

Chapter 4

The woman knocked the door, which had a name

plate Mark Vistas.

Door opens

Who are you? Woman asks him strangely.

You must have missed the name board outside

Mark joked.

Where is David? Woman demanded.

I just now came from New Jersey, I had a

conference meeting. David had called me, he

told he is waiting at Mindys bar.

I was planning for a hot shower bath, do you

mind joining me?

Taxi, Mindys Bar Woman said in a hurry.

Mark was lying on the floor with a bullet shot on

his head.

David again dialed Mark.

Mark please answer David murmured.

Chapter 5

David sliced a small piece of omelette.

Taxi man pulled the brake as soon as it reachedMindys Bar.

Woman walked out of the taxi towards Mindys

entrance door.

She winked at the blonde.

She hanged the bag to her shoulder and started

walking towards David.

Hello David She said

Who are you, if I want anything I will give the

order. Please dont disturb me for God sake

David pleaded.

I am Sarah, Sarah Miller She said while

placing her bag on the table.

I dont know who you are David said while

sipping the whiskey.

Mr. X sent me here She said while opening

the zip of her bag.

David kept the glass on the table in a shock.

Be calm, dont create a scene here Shewarned him.

She took some photos out from the bag.

What do you people want from me? David

said in a soaring voice.

This is enough, I am calling the Police David

said while dialing a number.

Then show them this photo too and tell them

these people will be found dead in their

apartment Sarah booed.

David was in a shock to see his Mom and

brother in a danger.

What do you want from me David begged

Sarah dialed a number and gave the phone toDavid.

Hello David, I am Mr. X

I hope Sarah treated you well. She is a sweet

bitch; you got the situation right I guess.

David dint say a word.

Call me once you reach Safe Security Access

Control.

Call ended...Beep Beep

David created a suspicious cloud around him.

David was really upset and confused about the

anonymous call from Mr. X.

The man was serious and adamant. He was

demanding for Dr Yotesmos Research papers

on the Antivirus study against the Cinzor.David knew University had banned all

Yotesmos research papers against the deadly

Cinzor.

He even dint had any clue where University

must have kept all those research papers.

But he knew the studies conducted under the

patent name of University are kept in a safe

locker in University itself.

He knew he too was working on the same

antivirus for which Yotesmo was working.

Antivirus was registered under the patent nameof University.

So all the patent money goes to University once

the Antivirus gets

released.

Chapter 6

If anything happens to my mom and brother, I

will kill you all David said in anger.

Stop fucking and do what he told you to do

Sarah said in irritation.

Where can we find Yotesmos research

documents Sarah asked while they waited for a

Where can we find those documents? Sarah

asked again

Yotesmos research documents were sealed as

soon as his experiments got failed.

They might have kept it in a safe locker David

said

But, how can you guarantee that they still have

those documents with them? Sarah was

confused.

University is very precise about their research

activities. They document each and every minute

studies conducted on their patent work. David

explained

They have a separate locker where they keep all

those research documents on the studies which

were unsuccessful.

My last experiment on Cinzor virus was

unsuccessful. I had submitted all its researchdocuments to the University. They kept it in a

secret locker.

So lets go and take all the Yotesmos research

documents Sarah rushed

Its password protected David said

Motherly shit Sarah wooed.

Is there a back door? Sarah asked

They lock it using multiple passwords David

said

Taxi reaches St Andrews University check in

gate.

Multiple Passwords? Sarah said

Shut up, lets clear this security check Davidsaid and walked out of the car.

Sarah dumped her gun in that taxi and followed

David.

Soon they were walking inside the University

campus.

Chapter 7

What multiple passwords, tell me clearly

Sarah pleaded.

Why are you so interested in this matter?

David said in frustration.

I am paid to do this job Sarah answered.

Hamm Every shelf is protected with multiple

passwords i.e. the password of security

personnel and the person who is opening theshelf should enter his secret code given by the

University, The combination of both will only

open the shelf David replied.

Thus University can keep track of each and

every changes happening to the documents.

David placed his thumb on the check in

machine.

Welcome to St Andrews University David Ken

an automated voice answered.

He buzzed through the door and walked through

the hallway to reach the elevator.

Sarah followed him.

Automated voice answered.

Straight in front of them was a board which

read Safe Security Access Control

Good Morning David Ken Security personnel

greeted with a smile.

David Ken was too nervous to return a smile but

still managed to avoid any suspicion.

''Hey Samuel'' David said while wiping his

sweat.

I want to access my Shelf David requested.

Sir, please give me your Shelf ID

A435621 Sarah replied instantaneously while

typing a text message on her cell phone.

Sir, you share everything with your partner I

guess Samuel joked.

But sir we cant allow her inside, its only for

authorized personnels

Darling you wait outside David said in a soft

voice.

Mr. X will give you a call She hissed in his

ears and gave a small bite.

''Be fast or we will be late for the lunch'' Sarah

said and gave a girlish wave.

Chapter 8

David was really nervous; he was sweating all

over his body.

He walked inside the room. Room had nearly to

a 1000 shelves. Each had a unique ID number

written on it.

''Sir, this is your locker. Please enter your

password'' Samuel said

Mr. X calling Davids cell phone starts

vibrating.

''Can I answer a call from here'' David

requested

''Ok, Not a problem Sir'' Samuel said

Let me know once you are done'' Samuel

looked back while walking towards another

shelves.

''Samuel, give me a minute'' David said

''David, my son you made it''

David dint answer. He knew he was in a big

danger.

Get the documents, go to the parking slot.

Handle that to Sarah then your mom andbrother are free to go. She would be waiting in a

Black Ford CA -4451.

OK David sighed

Chapter 9

Here is your file Samuel said.

David quickly took the file and holds it tightly to

his chest.

Thank You Sir! Have a nice day Samuel saidand gave a smile.

David didnt return a smile.

He ran quickly down the corridor to reach the

Parking slot. Door with the name plate

Parking ahead opened with a sound of latchand he was into a big underground hall full of

sealed tube lights and dusty walls.

Hall was deserted except the humming sound of

generators. He started looking for the Black CA

-4451 Ford Car.

Parking slot had a maximum of SUVs with

some sleazy BMWs and AUDI cars.

Davids eyeballs started moving faster than his

legs.

He marked a Black Ford. He took a fast step

towards the car. He checked for Sarah insidebut it was too dark to see something. He looked

for the Name plate CA -4451.

Where the hell is Sarah then David thought in

mind.

He opened the car door.

He was shocked to see Sarah lying on the seat

with blood all over her body.

He moves back in a shock.

Someone must have shot on her head Davidsaid to himself.

He hears a sound of a phone ringing from the

car.

He moves towards the car.

He searches for the phone in the car.

He makes her sit straight from her tilted position

and takes the phone from her pocket.

Richard Jack calling

David opened his eyes again to confirm it was

the University head Richard Jack calling Sarah,

the serial killer.

David was in a thought of pressing the green

button but the call gets disconnected.

David checks the messages.

Two messages.

Both were from Richard Jack.

Thats gr8, go and wait in the parking slot till

he comes.

He reads the second message.

Kill David as soon as he passes you the

documents and give me a call.

David was shocked to read this message from

Richard Jack, the man he respected.

David lighted a cigarette. He took a strong puff.

He had no clue why Richard wanted Yotesmos

research documents. His research documents

were already banned due to deaths of some lab

assistants. In fact Richard hated Yotesmo. Heused to humiliate him in front of others.

Yotesmo wanted patent of Cinzor antivirus but

as per University rule, patent for a research

carried in the University were not allowed for

the scientists. So he agreed to work under that

project with a guarantee that University willshare half of patent money with him.

Yotesmo finishes the research and finds a cure

for the spreading Cinzor virus. He presents his

documents in front of Richard.

Richard knew Yotesmos agreements with the

board. He knew Yotesmo would get rich once

this is published.

So he kills the lab assistants and claims

Yotesmos experiments were the reason.

Yotesmos documents get rejected and he moves

it to the Safe Security.

A vibrating sound from his pocket brought

David back to the situation. He flanged the

cigarette to the floor.

Mr. X calling

David picked the phone.

David

Yes Mr. X

Where is Sarah?

I dont know. I am still searching for her.

Call disconnected

I am goanna kill this bastard David said in

anger.

David kept the document on the drivers seat

and moves Sarah to the back seat.

David starts the engine.

A man comes in front of his car with a gun

pointing at him.

Stop the car boy Richard said while moving

towards him.

You dont want your mom and brother alive I

guess Richard said while opening the car door.

Give me the documents Richard ordered.

You killed Yotesmo for this? David said while

holding the documents tight.

Give me the documents or I will pop your head

out Richard said in a harsh voice.

I know you goanna kill me like you killed

Sarah.

I am goanna make a lot of money with these

documents Richard said while holding his gun

on Davids head.

You were using me David said in a soft tone.

Sound of a Gunshot

David was lying with a gunshot on his head.

Chapter 10

Richard rushed to his car. He started his engine

and steered to the exit.

Richard executed everything as per the plan.

Situation was like a clean chit to him from

killing of Yotesmo to David.

He was driving with a dream of becoming a

millionaire, the fame he goanna get by

publishing the documents.

Richard stopped the car in a deserted place.

He broke the seal of the file and opened the

documents.

I was looking for this honey from a long time,

now I am a millionaire he said with a devils

smile on his face.

Not yet, Mr. X a voice came from back of his

car.

Who the hell are you Richard said and looked

back.

He was shocked to see the person sitting in the

back.

He was wearing a black coat and a black hat.

Yotesmo you were dead Richard said in ashock.

You planned everything perfect, you kept a

bomb in my car but failed to verify that I was the

person sitting in the car, it was my driver who

was found burned in that car.

these documents. So I followed each and every

step of yours Yotesmo said while adjusting his

hat.

You are smart Richard said while looking for

his gun.

You looking for this Richard Yotesmo said

while pointing the gun to Richards head.

Dont kill me, Let me be your partner, I mean

50-50 ratio, Richard begged.

Ha-ha Yotesmo gave an approving smile andpulled the trigger.

Epilogue

Yotesmo kept the documents in his bag and

quickly disappeared into the dark.
