8隻に採用・アーカー造船所より受注
2006年5月 フレデリックスハウン発 MAN B&W Diesel社は
この程アンカーハンドリングタグ・サプライ船（AHTS)8隻向けに
ツインスクリュー・ツイン・イン/シングル・アウト4サイクル中速機関
4台から成る推進パッケージの受注に成功しました。本船はノルウエー
のアーカー造船所で建造され、A.P.モラー/マレスク社の子会社である
マレスクサプライサービス社の所有になります。

本船はアーカー造船所のブラットバーグとラングステン
造船所で建造され、2008年から2009年にかけ2ヶ月ピッチで
引渡しの予定です。
本船は全長73メートル、商船設計コンサルタントとして
名高いVik-Sandvik社による設計でVS472という型式です。

MAN B&W Diesel社では最近、一連の大型オフショア船
向け推進装置の受注が相次ぎましたが、今回の大型契約により
新たに32台の主機を受注し、オフショアサポート船
市場でその存在が一段と大きなものになりました。
今回受注した推進パッケージは主機4台、ツインスクリュー
ツイン・イン/シングル・アウトの構成で
7および8シリンダーのL27/38型機関がレンク社のダブルギア
により親子型に配置されています。
さらに、今回の推進パッケージに含まれているものは
径4メートルのCPプロペラ（VBS1080型）、中間軸、プロペラノズル
(DF4030型）そして機関室とブリッジコンソール前後2箇所には
推進制御管理のためにアルファトロニック2000装置
があります。
