The PPG phase will support the background preparatory work needed to gather more detailed information in order to refine the design of the project activities and to identify the requirements for their implementation.

The PPG work will require:

The preparation of the preliminary baseline situation analysis and identification of the groundwater resources of the basin;

the agreement with countries on the detailed content of Training Program;

agreement among countries and partners on project activities and funding, scope and associated co-financing;

identification and involvement of major stakeholders.

Three National Expert Consultant are at work and will provide inputs related to:1. Baseline situation2. Perceived concerns and opportunities3. Training Program4. Stakeholders Consultations5. Pilot Demonstrations
